Nashville, TN (June 22, 2015) One of Music City's most unique bands, John & Jacob, played a scorching set at the Gildan/Hard Rock Stage during CMA Music Festival this past weekend. The band recently toured with Kacey Musgraves and spent April over in the UK touring with The Shires. The last two years have been a whirlwind for John & Jacob, who made their Grand Ole Opry debut last October and released their independent self-titled album last fall. The album charted in the Top 10 on Billboard's Heatseekers Chart, as well as on iTunes Top 10 charts. John & Jacob are published writers for Major Bob Music in Nashville and co-wrote the Billboard #1 hit “DONE.” with The Band Perry. Their debut single “Be My Girl”, was featured in ABC’s hit TV show ‘Nashville.' For more information visit their official website. Pictured left to right are: Trevor Davis, Jake Thrasher, Jacob Bryant, John Davidson, Austin Smith Nashville based singer/songwriter Sonia Leigh is about to shake up the Country music scene. Having garnered a wealth of experience since her relocation to Country music’s capital city aged just 17, Leigh is ready to redefine the genre. Leigh brings a fresh, progressive sound to the table. Her relentless spirit is felt in every inflection of her unmistakable drawl. This musical pioneer has blended her many influences into a refreshing, compelling sound all her own. "Her talent is undeniable," says Chuck Dauphin of MusicNewsNashville. "Sonia Leigh is an artist that sets herself apart from the pack." Having spent the formative years of her career as an independent artist, Leigh’s strength as a songwriter saw her catch the eye of the Grammy Award winning Zac Brown Band, who invited her out on the road. A meeting of the musically minded prompted the unforgettable co-writes, ‘Goodbye in Her Eyes’ and ‘Sweet Annie’, both of which topped the US Country Airplay charts. With Leigh in demand as a co-writer, she continues to focus on her own musical output. Having released her last EP Counting Skeletons in 2014, Leigh has been impressing audiences around the world with her new striking, genre-defying anthems. Having already scored radio hits Stateside with the summery "Put It In Your Pocket" and the emotionally charged "When We Are Alone," Leigh demonstrates that she is an artist unafraid to wear her heart on her sleeve or to push the boundaries of creativity. Leigh has performed at many of America's legendary venues and amphitheaters including Red Rocks, The Gorge, and The Ryman Auditorium to name a few. She has shared the stage and garnered praise from some of the biggest names in music including Eric Church, Kid Rock, Jake Owen, Loretta Lynn, Amos Lee, Blackberry Smoke, Willie Nelson, Eli Young Band, Kenny Chesney, and more. www.sonialeigh.com / @sonialeigh / facebook.com/sonialeighmusic LIVE DATES JUST ANNOUNCED: 26th June Muse, London 27th June Pride in London 29th June The Islington, London (with Josh Kumra) 3-4th July Maverick Festival James Otto Rocked SiriusXM Highway Finds Chevrolet Riverfront Stage During CMA Music Fest!6/19/2015 Nashville, TN (June 18, 2015) - James Otto, Blaster Records' newest signing, performed a rockin' and soulful solo acoustic set on the SiriusXM Highway Finds stage at Nashville's riverfront during CMA Music Fest this year. On the heels of a California run with her Austin/AR based band, Bonnie Montgomery releases the video for "Take Me Or Leave Me", coinciding with the vinyl release of her LP "Bonnie Montgomery" on Nathan Howdeshell’s (Gossip) Fast Weapons label (Portland/Arkansas). The standout track from her debut LP has been described as musings from "an outlaw on the run...with shades of Highway Man - someone like Johnny Cash or Waylon Jennings would sound just as natural as Bonnie's vocals." (Country Perspective) Bonnie's background as an opera composer and singer inspired the drama of the clip, which was envisioned as "a daring, desperate midnight ride across the desert”. A White County, Arkansas native, Bonnie’s composition of the modern opera Billy Blythe about the boyhood of Bill Clinton earned her the praise of publications including the New Yorker, the London Telegraph, and The Huffington Post. Bonnie chose "Take Me Or Leave Me" as the first official video from her LP for "the danger and the opera of the song” describing the concept “like a Spaghetti Western, with a classic country songwriting formula, and strings that hearken back to my classical background”. Tammy Sioux Parkhouse's horse ranch in the High Desert of Joshua Tree provided the epic views, and directors Bon Nielsen and Blanton Ross' use of double exposures and time lapse images of the blood moon convey the frenetic outlaw mindset of the narrative. The video features Bonnie, her band, and a 30 year old horse named Keith Richards. Watch it here Bonnie will be performing "Take Me Or Leave Me" and other selections from "Bonnie Montgomery" and previous EPs "Cruel" (2012) and "Joy" (2013) on Southwest and Northeast tour dates this Summer and Fall. www.bonniemontgomerymusic.com NASHVILLE, Tenn.
