Bart Crow, from tiny little Maypearl, TX, received the invitation of his career – the invitation to make his debut on the Grand Ole Opry on Friday, August 21 – in the midst of its nine-month 90th Anniversary celebration. Crow’s current single “Life Comes At You Fast,” sums up the opportunity as it tells of life, love and holding on for the ride. Crow will be holding on tight as he steps in to the famed “Circle” of where many of his heroes like John Conlee and George Jones have stood. “Honestly, I believe I am still in shock being invited to play the Grand Ole Opry,” said Bart Crow. “It is the shrine of country music and every song I was raised on, from both of my grandfathers to my own Dad. To think that I will be standing on the very hallowed circle of wood that so many legends and heroes who blurred the boundaries of music performed, it is quite overwhelming. It is a great honor and dream I never imagined possible. And this year is the Opry’s 90th anniversary … take a moment to let that sink in.” The road-toughened troubadour and Army veteran has already put together an admirable track record as a recording artist releasing five albums in over a decade with money pulled from his own pockets. He has sold over 40,000 albums and lofted six No. 1 singles onto the Texas Music Chart without major record label assistance – one of which, “Wear My Ring,” sold over 165,000 copies. His last album, Dandelion, recorded with producer (and Pat Green drummer/co-producer/co-writer) Justin Pollard, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Heatseekers South Central chart. Crow has been cheered in Country Weekly, on CMT, AOL, Music Connection and in other national media outlets. His YouTube videos and concert footage have drawn more than 2.5 million views. Now signed to the famed Thirty Tigers (who has fostered success stories for artists including Lucinda Williams, Patty Griffin, The Avett Brothers, Ryan Bingham, Flogging Molly, Aaron Watson, Jason Isbell to name a few), Crow kicks it up several notches for his upcoming Fall album release –The Parade reuniting with producer Justin Pollard. “Life Comes At You Fast,” the debut single from his upcoming new album The Parade, has officially been added at radio and is available now at iTunes. The single tells of life, love and holding on for the ride as life comes and changes do fast. The blue-collar balladeer, plays 130+ dates a year in front of loyal rowdy crowds at far-flung, late-night clubs and concert halls all over Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Illinois, Kansas, Arkansas, Nebraska, Montana and beyond. It’s his music that draws them — a tangle of roots in blues, country and down-home rock ‘n’ roll, branded with his unique imprint. A myriad of influences haunt his music including a choir of real American country in the fashion of Merle and Waylon, John Conlee, George Jones and Jerry Jeff Walker, razor-edged rock from Metallica, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, deep-fried Southern soul from Otis Redding and more.
