Brooke Annibale Questions Apprehension of the Unknown Future with 'The Simple Fear,' Out October 27/28/2015 On October 2, singer/songwriter Brooke Annibale will release her fourth full-length studio album The Simple Fear. A former Nashville resident now based in her hometown Pittsburgh, Annibale questions apprehension of the unknown future, basic life expectations, and the fear that those expectations might not be met. Today,Earmilk debuted the album's first single "Remind Me," calling it "one of Annibale's best. Evident, is her ability to build momentum and fully develop the sound while also keeping two feet on the ground, which is an especially rare encounter within her genre." LISTEN: Brooke Annibale - "Remind Me" via Earmilk: http://ow.ly/QbI3J "We all have doubts about whether we are doing the right thing, are in the right place, or are progressing the way we should," says Annibale. "The uncertainty of achieving whatever you might want out of life or pursuing a path that leads to however you want your life to develop can be unnerving sometimes. I had to deal with the struggle of letting go of the past and moving forward. Fear is always complicated, but it’s simple in the sense that we all have certain fears in common at some point in our lives.”
Recorded at Smoakstack Studios in Nashville, The Simple Fear picks up where the likes of Kathleen Edwards and The Swell Season’s last records left off. Producer/engineer Justin March (Cold War Kids, Leagues, Kelly Clarkson) boldly showcases Annibale’s songs in a relevant, experimental, yet timeless exposition. It progresses what it means to be labeled a “singer-songwriter” or to have the word “folk” attached as a descriptor. The album's centerpiece lays in Annibale’s subtle groove and alluring style encased in layers of beautiful strings, guitar, piano, and percussion. However, it’s her magnetic voice, that smoldering and irresistible delivery, that draws you in. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Annibale’s grandfather opened a music retail and live-sound business in the 1960’s, that is still family-run today. Nurtured by an ever-present musical surrounding, Annibale started young, writing as early as 8 years old and taking up guitar as a teenager. She released her first album at age 17 titled Memories in Melody. She soon took her passion for songwriting and performing to Nashville where she recorded and released two more albums and two EPs over the course of six years: The Nashville EP (2006), The In Between (2008), Silence Worth Breaking (2011), and Words In Your Eyes EP (2013). With an impressive resume as an independent and entrepreneurial artist, her songs have appeared on TV over a dozen times with popular programs such as Pretty Little Liars, One Tree Hill, andThe Vampire Diaries. Track List: 01) Like The Dream Of It 02) Remind Me 03) Decide 04) Find My Way 05) Alright 06) Go 07) All Over Again 08) Patience 09) The Good Hurt 10) Answers www.brookeannibale.com www.facebook.com/brookeannibale Twitter - @brookeannibale Instagram - @brookeannibale

Brooke Annibale is that kind of singer whose you would know but never really knew she sang it. Her lyrics are brimming with harmonies that create subtlety in her original style of music. Defining her lyrically as well as her range sets her apart and while her music belongs to a more indie and soul sensation, not necessarily commercial, her lines and poetry feed her music. Definitely a must-see.

I don't think I've ever recorded a song so overly optimitic before," she continued. "The basic premise of the lyrics are simple: even when we're having a tough day, or are frustrated with the place we are at in our lives, if we focus on the good, if we focus on giving and receiving love in some way, we'll be alright."
