(Press Release) On February 10th, multiplatinum artist Dan Auerbach will make his first appearance as a solo artist on Austin City Limits, the longest-running music television show in history, to perform music from his first solo release in 8 years, Waiting On A Song. “You can’t not watch this show without feeling good afterwards,” said ACL executive producer Terry Lickona. “Dan Auerbach has 5 times more creative energy than anyone with half his credits.” Auerbach is an ACL veteran, having performed on the program twice with The Black Keys. Austin City Limits airs weekly on PBS stations nationwide (check local listings here) and full episodes are made available online for a limited time at pbs.org/austincitylimits immediately following the initial broadcast.
This morning, to preview the broadcast, Dan Auerbach debuts his ACL performance of “Stand By My Girl” via Rolling Stone.
PBS’s broadcast will coincide with the kick off of Dan Auerbach’s 20-date “Easy Eye Sound Revue Tour,” featuring Robert Finley, Shannon Shaw, and Shannon & the Clams, in Vancouver on February 10th. Tickets for this tour are on sale now and can be purchased here.
