Austin, TX (Press Release): Bluesy singer-songwriter Johnny “Chops’ Richardson has issued “Taking A Chance On Me," the second single from his forthcoming sophomore album, Johnny Chops & The Razors. With a special guest appearance by acclaimed singers, The Gospel Starz, the Otis Redding-influenced ballad premiered via music discovery site, GLIDE Magazine, who noted, "As a whole, the tune has a bluesy southern boogie sound with an infectious uplifting chorus.” Watch HERE.

Born into a musical family in Lubbock, Texas, Richardson lives and breathes music, in particular, the craft of writing songs, which he’s successfully been doing for the past two decades. Influenced by Tom Petty, Muddy Waters, Johnny Cash, and Social Distortion, he’s landed several songs on albums by the Randy Rogers Band, whom he’s played bass with since 2002. His contributions include “Ten Miles Deep,” a staple of RRB's live show, “Last Last Chance,” which garnered a Texas Music Chart #1, “Shotgun” a cinematic, hard driving country rocker from the acclaimed Trouble album and “Wicked Ways,” which was chosen for the band’s appearance on Late Night with David Letterman.

“This month marks 10 years since 17-year old Casey Brooks ended her life by jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge and Spring 2017 marked the beginning of construction on a suicide barrier for the bridge. I wonder who Casey would be today,” says Lockwood. “Life is precious. You are important. We CAN and we ARE building a safer and more loving world.”

Nashville based singer/songwriter and California native, Lockwood Barr, appeared on CBS Sunday Morning on January 7, 2018 to continue to advocate for a subject that has been a passion of hers for a decade. During Barr’s interview with CBS’s John Blackstone, she tells the story of how her childhood friend ended her life by jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge just months before their high school graduation. For years, Lockwood and numerous others have petitioned for a preventative suicide barrier along the iconic bridge. This spring their hard work paid off, plans for a $200 million suicide barrier were approved and are due for completion in 2021.

Ross Cooper Announces New LP, 'I Rode The Wild Horses'; Listen to the Title Track

January 8, 2018 (Press Release) - Ross Cooper has announced the Mar. 9 release of his new LP, I Rode The Wild Horses, produced by Eric Masse (Miranda Lambert, Andrew Combs) and featuring contributions from an impressive list of guest artists including Erin Rae on vocals, Jeremy Fetzer (Steelism) on guitar, Eli Beard (Shania Twain, Rayland Baxter) on bass, Tommy Perkinson (Lera Lynn) on drums, Skylar Wilson on keys, and the incomparable Eddy Dunlap on pedal steel.

Cooper also released the album's title track and lead single today. The song premiered this week at Wide Open Country, who praised it as an "homage to those road-weary cowboys Cooper often looked up to growing up in plains of West Texas. He delivers an authentic perspective on the jangly number that finds a weathered cowboy reminiscing about his glorified heyday."
Ross Cooper is the rare country musician who has actually lived the life of a cowboy. The former professional bareback rider was still bustin' broncs when his music career began. Though a knee injury sidelined his rodeo career, Cooper drives a band like he's still wearing spurs and holding on for eight. His new album, I Rode The Wild Horses, pushes country music way past traditional territory just for the rush. It's the new Nashville sound: glimmering pedal steel, rollicking & rocking telecaster riffs, soulful keys, and gorgeous harmonies.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (January 8, 2018 Press Release) -- Crowned by many as the one to watch in 2018, CMT Next Women of Country artist Kalie Shorr is set to release Awake on January 26. The highly-anticipated project features seven songs that truly showcase Shorr’s ability, passion and energy she injects into her music. Awake will be available for pre-sale on iTunes January 15 while the project's first single "Two Hands" continues to be featured on SiriusXM The Highway's "On The Horizon," Radio Disney Country, TuneIn Country Roads and on prominent Apple Music playlists Breaking Country and Cool Country.

“Sometimes, this industry makes you second guess yourself,” Shorr explains. “It might not even mean to -- there are just so many opinions and it's easy to try to please everyone. This project is the first time I've tuned everything else out but my own gut feeling on who I am and what makes me unique. This past summer, I bought a new electric guitar, met an amazing producer, and fell back in love with the records that made me want to write songs in the first place. Before I knew it, the Awake EP was born. I couldn't be more excited for it's release, this record feels like the most authentic introduction to me I could give anyone.”

Shorr will host an Awake EP launch party on Thursday, January 25 at The Back Corner. The event will be open to both the media and the public. To view the invitation, click here.
