(Press Release) Country music's most energetic band, Gunnar & The Grizzly Boys (GGB), will independently release for download their new single Forever Sounds Good To Me on Friday, June 17. This All Access Top 5 downloaded hit song is already in rotation on WYCD in Detroit, MI, WWQM in Madison, WI, KTWB in Sioux Falls, SD and many more stations in GGB’s home state of Michigan and throughout the Midwest.
“The lyrics in this song definitely hit home as I recently got engaged to my amazing fiancée Sunni,” says lead vocalist Gunnar Nyblad. “Forever sure does sound good to me now that she said yes.”

GGB is backing up the single with high profile appearances at festivals, including this Sunday’sWBCT's B93 Birthday Bash. On June 24, GGB will perform three shows at Country Stampede in Manhattan, KS, starting with the main stage, before hitting the Tuttleville Saloon Stage just before Tim McGraw, then following up his set at the Radio World Stage about midnight.

GGB will also play Jam In The Valley in New York, Country Thunder in Wisconsin, South Dakota’s Sioux Empire Fair, WYCD's Hoedown, plus many more.

"Gunnar & the Grizzly Boys are always a killer live act,” said WYCD Detroit OM/PD Tim Roberts, who has had GGB at Hoedown five times, “And now they bring that energy to radio with 'Forever Sounds Good To Me.'”
"When GGB roll into your town, make it priority to see the show - full on High Energy,” exclaimed WBCT Grand Rapids PD Dave Taft, who has known the band from its beginning. “'Forever Sounds Good To Me' is the summer tempo you're looking for."

“Gunnar and The Grizzly Boys never fail us,” said Carey Carlson, MD at WTCM, which has played GGB’sPedal To The Floor, Could Be Me and Standard American. "There's a lot to be said about writing and performing music that is felt right down to their Country lovin' souls, and you get that from this Midwest Country Band!"

GGB broke onto the country scene with Standard American, which has sold 33,000 downloads as a Highway Find on SiriusXM. Last month, the band announced its “These Are The Good Times” Tour and celebrated it with the release of These Are The Good Times, currently heard in the band’s set with Forever Sounds Good To Me and Good Rhythm, the title of GGB’s album due out this fall. Another highlight in GGB shows is their cover of Ray Wylie Hubbard’s Snake Farm, also on Good Rhythm.

“After Jerrod, a number of PDs in the Midwest came to me with excellent artists they believed in,” Schuld said. “So I went looking for the best artist in the Midwest and when I saw Gunnar & The Grizzly Boys that was it – explosive! They’re a real band! The women and the men both loved ‘em. Honestly, to see is to believe.”

The band is led by apple farmer Gunnar Nyblad, who went to the Michigan State University Agricultural School, and met band mates Shane Grehan, Chris Newberg and Joe Connolly. Then he introduced them to his childhood friend Rob Mason, who has been in bands with Gunnar since they were 12 years old. Their first show was opening for Justin Moore at Grand Rapid’s The Intersection in 2009. During the last two years, GGB has opened shows for home state favorite Kid Rock, Florida Georgia Line, Old Dominion, Brothers Osborne, Dustin Lynch, Tyler Farr and Colt Ford. GGB entered the Rukkus Room recording studio in January to record songs written by Nyblad, who also has two co-writes each with Keesy Timmer and Big Kenny of Big & Rich on the album. Good Rhythm is produced by Jamie Tate, who has recorded and mixed a who’s who of country artists from Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard and George Jones, to Taylor Swift, Thomas Rhett and FGL, winning a Grammy in 1998 for his work on Tribute To Tradition. The band has released four videos for Standard American, Could Be Me, Pedal To The Floor and Country Boy Tan Lines.Could Be Me video, released as an April Fools prank where it looked as if they performed the song in truck beds while being filmed by the Google Street Car, generated over 500,000 views in one weekend. Gunnar & The Grizzly Boys are booked by Buddy Lee Attractions VP Dave Kiswiney.
