If you've ever been to this sweet little Ozark spot on the Mulberry River, then you know how special it is. If you haven't, then you're in for a treat! In addition to top-notch music, the Homegrown Music Festival aims to keep their festival footprint clean and green throughout the the weekend. HGMF staff, volunteers, vendors, and artists alike will be encouraged to pitch in, pick up, and jump on board to implement Leave No Trace outdoor ethics and sustainability practices throughout the festival.

"Hosting a low impact outdoor festival is our top priority," says organizer Jessica Sumner. "We're bringing many people together in a pristine setting. We're grateful for our partners Richter Solar Energy and GreenSource who are helping us with ideas to keep our event green and clean."

Sumner hopes to include sustainability amenities like composting stations, solar powered dish washing stations, solar charging stations and solar lights. "We're looking for sponsors to help supply a collectible, reusable plate and cup for each ticket purchaser to use all weekend, to eliminate garbage and non recyclables altogether." Sumner is seeking other sustainability partners for Homegrown Music Festival.

In the spirit of a family-friendly camping event, Art Feeds, with the help of some local artists and teachers, will be hosting a kids tent full of crafts made of re-purposed and recyclable materials. A special designated camping area for families, with lights out at 11:00pm, will be provided upon request, and a dance floor for kids only will be provided near the main stage! Kids 12 and under will be admitted at no charge.

Adam Cox, host of Singled Out radio show, on Fayetteville's KUAF 91.3 will be featuring musicians away from the Main Stage in the Homegrown Music Festival's Pickin' Tent. Adam will be conducting interviews, workshops and small music performances. For more information visit the links above.
