Nashville, TN - BMI (Broadcast Music International) Icon, ACM Poet Award Honoree and Nashville Songwriter Hall of Fame Inductee, Dean Dillon, in association with BMI and Elevation Hotel & Spa, are pleased to announce the 3rd annual Mountain High Music Festival, held January 11th to 15th, 2017, in Mt. Crested Butte, Colorado. The festival will feature world class singer/songwriters and recording artists, along with music’s future hit-makers, in concert settings designed for intimate and profound performances. CMA and ACM Award Winner Jamey Johnson, along with Grammy-Nominee Ashley Monroe, will headline a stellar cast of songwriters and performers from across the country.

Tickets to this year’s events may be purchased at www.mountainhighmusicfest.com. Dean Dillon first launched Mountain High Music Festival in 2015. Dillon, in addition to writing fifty-nine songs for the Country Music Legend George Strait, has had songs recorded by numerous artists including Kenny Chesney, Alabama, Toby Keith, Vince Gill, Brooks & Dunn, Lee Ann Womack, Pam Tillis and many more. His song success has spanned decades and continues to impact new generations. Many of his songs have reached country standard status, including “The Chair” and “Tennessee Whiskey”, the latter scoring a hit for Chris Stapleton and establishing Stapleton with mainstream audiences after an iconic duet performance with Justin Timberlake at the 2015 CMA Awards.

Accented by the beautiful backdrop of Mt Crested Butte, with an atmosphere of intimate, casual performances where artists can sing, swap stories and mingle with patrons in select locations throughout the mountain town, Dean Dillon promises this year’s festival will be the biggest one yet. “With performers like the multi-talented Jamey Johnson and country angel Ashley Monroe, we couldn’t be any happier, " says Dillon. “Ashley is produced by Vince Gill and she just sounds heavenly and Jamey really made his mark as a singer/songwriter with the notable “In Color” as his launchpad. Check out all the writers we have lined up and you’ll see why we are so excited about this year’s festival.”

Other writers on the bill include: Sundance Head (currently on NBC’s “The Voice”), Scotty Emerick (number one hits include Toby Keith’s “Whiskey Girl”, “ I Love This Bar”, “Beer For My Horses”), Kendell Marvell (written hits for Blake Shelton, Jake Owen, LeeAnn Womack, Gary Allan), Travis Meadows (songs recorded by Dierks Bentley, Eric Church, Jake Owen, Blackberry Smoke, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Hank Williams Jr., Wynonna Judd), and Wendell Mobley (number one songs for Kenny Chesney and Rascal Flatts). In addition, groundbreaking artist Sonia Leigh (songs recorded on Grammy winning album Uncaged by Zac Brown Band) and up and coming Texas songwriter Jody Booth will be featured. The festival will be hosted by GAC and Sirius XM's on-air personality Storme Warren.

Mountain High Music Fest is sponsored by BMI, Town of Mount Crested Butte, SunTrust Bank, Elevation Hotel & Spa, HD Radio, Texas Roadhouse, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Lodge at Mountaineer Square, Black Diamond Row Music Publishing, Adaptive Sports Center, Alpine Express, Biery-Witt Center, Hope Family Wines, Nordic Inn and Bedell Guitars.
