Levi Lowrey's Revolutionary New Way of Making a Record

The day that Levy Lowrey said would bring big news, March 3rd, has finally arrived. He announced a brand new record, My Crazy Head, which would be available March 10th. 

Along with that announcement came another: a revolutionary new way to distribute and promote the music, doing something that hasn't been done before. Lowrey stated, "I want to do something with this record that's never been done before. I'M SIGNING A RECORD DEAL WITH MY FANS. No longer will there be a middle man between us. Here's how it works. Lowrey asks for a flat fee of $99, in return he is giving those who contribute the exclusive control of the distribution of the record. If anyone outside of those who give $99 want to purchase the album, they will have to come those people. Each person will be posting their own unique link on social media as well as texting and emailing friends and family. Every time someone downloads the album after clicking on the individual's link, they will receive a cut of the profits of that sale. All of this will happen in real time: they purchase the album, the individual receives their money. 

He further breaks down the split:
"You will receive 100% of your profit until you recoup your initial $99. After that it goes to 50/50. That's right. We are equal partners in this venture. Your 50% cut will last for a full year from your signup date. 
The partnership season begins in 7 days. We wanted to allow time for questions, and preparation. I will be available through social media and email to answer any questions you may have. On March the 10th the campaign will officially begin. We will be providing links to the campaign page as soon as they are ready. 
In short... I'm basically trying to give you money. Your initial $99 goes to getting this album pressed, new merchandise, touring, and keeping the machine rolling another year. It also does something invaluable for me as an artist, it spreads the word about my music and the My Crazy Head record. Us partnering together, and cutting out the middle man, makes this whole thing possible." 

In addition, over the course of the next year, Lowrey has planned exclusive content and incentives that will only be available to those who partner with him.
