London Folk-Rock Band Skinny Lister Announce North American Headline Tour

(Press Release) Xtra Mile Recordings and UK folk-rock band Skinny Lister are pleased to announce the band’s upcoming North American headline tour. On the heels of the band’s highly attended U.S. tour this past March that saw six dates completely sold out, the band will be back for a run that will take in 25 evenings across the country and hit markets such as Chicago, IL on Thursday, November 3, Boston, MA on Monday, November 7, New York, NY on Wednesday, November 9, Washington, DC on Friday, November11, Nashville, TN on Tuesday, November 15, Denver, CO on Friday, November 18, Seattle, WA on Tuesday, November 22, San Francisco, CA on Friday, November 25, Austin, TX on Thursday, December 1, and culminate in a performance at the House of Blues in New Orleans, LA on Sunday, December 4. Skinny Lister, the rum-soaked sextet from London, has run rampant across the UK, and further afield, since 2009. Having played a frightening amount of festivals and building an army of devotees, they signed to Xtra Mile Recordings in 2014 for the release of their sophomore album, Down On Deptford Broadway, which was issued in April of 2015. Since its release, the album has garnered rave reviews across the board, with Q Magazine roaring “three cheers for a band who give pub rock a good name,” while the Evening Standard declared “it’s harder to imagine anything more mischievous.” 

Helmed by Grammy Award-winning producer Ted Hutt (Old Crow Medicine Show, The Gaslight Anthem, Lucero), Down On Deptford Broadway joins elements of English folk with the attitude of punk & rock that bursts with sing-along choruses and uptempo numbers, solidly complimenting the band's live spirit. Skinny Lister just recently wrapped up tours in both the U.S. and Europe, both supporting labelmate Frank Turnerand also made another appearance on the annual Flogging Molly Salty Dog Cruise to the Bahamas. The band continues to be an unstoppable, elated force that make being in their path an experience to repeat forever.
