August 18, 2015 (Toronto, ON) – The Canadian Country Music Association® (CCMA®) announced this morning that Autumn Hill, Paul Brandt, High Valley, Jess Moskaluke and special guest Thomas Rhett will perform on the 2015 CCMA Awards Show. Being broadcast from Halifax, Nova Scotia on Sunday, September 13, the 2015 CCMA Awards Show will air on CBC-TV at 8 p.m. local time (8:30 p.m. NT) with an encore airing on CMT (Canada) at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT, and will feature performances by Tim Hicks, Brett Kissel, Dallas Smith, and Florida Georgia Line, as previously announced.

Some songs grab you right away, while others sink in overtime and won’t let you go. Autumn Hill’s music does both. Tareya Green and Mike Robins tell compelling stories of loss and love from two distinct perspectives, and build soaring pop music with a strong Nashville foundation. Multiple Top 10 singles, CCMA and JUNO Award nominations, and sold-out national tours have defined their recent years, all culminating in the release of their sophomore album, Anchor. The band’s 2015 flagship single, “Blame”, reached new heights this summer, earning the coveted Top 5 spot on Canadian country radio – charting higher than any Canadian country group since 2007.

Paul Brandt is the most awarded male Canadian country artist in history. His 1996 debut, RIAA certified Gold album, Calm Before the Storm, went on to sell one million copies internationally, propelled by the #1 single and wedding standard, “I Do”. Stateside, his #5 and #1 charting songs “My Heart Has A History”, and “I Do”, were the first to chart by a male Canadian country artist since Hank Snow in 1974. The song, “For You”, written by Brandt and Steve Rosen, was selected to promote the major motion picture We Were Soldiers, and was performed by Johnny Cash and Dave Matthews. His 11 career albums have spawned hit singles, multiple Album of the Year awards, Gold, Platinum, and multi-Platinum performances. His current single, “I’m An Open Road”, featuring Jess Moskaluke, is currently climbing the country charts.

Nominated for three 2015 CCMA Awards, the remote hometown and unique upbringing seems a magic combination for the music of La Crete, AB brothers, High Valley. Producing four Top 10 singles, including a Top 5 hit, and two #1 videos on CMT for their summer smashes, “Make You Mine” and “She’s With Me”, the duo’s latest album, County Line, has Brad and Curtis Rempel taking over the country scene with their addictive “pop-grass” sound. High Valley has performed on some of the industry’s most coveted stages this summer, including The Grand Ole Opry, Cavendish, and Boots and Hearts.

Celebrated as the first female Canadian country solo artist to achieve gold record status since Shania Twain, Jess Moskaluke has enjoyed a record-breaking year. Crowned the Female Artist of the Year at the 2014 CCMA Awards, she is currently a multiple 2015 CCMA Award nominee. 2015 continues to be a year of many firsts for Moskaluke, including her first JUNO nominations; a cross-Canada tour, having joined Chad Brownlee’s When The Lights Go Down Tour and now her first arena shows this fall. In October she will join Paul Brandt and Dean Brody’s Road Trip Tour.  She will also release her new EP, Kiss Me Quiet, in September.

International guest, Platinum-selling artist, Thomas Rhett, leads the pack as one of country music’s elite new artists with the #1 Gold-certified and fastest-rising single of his career, “Crash And Burn”, from his upcoming sophomore album, Tangled Up, slated for release on September 25. The new music follows Rhett’s debut album, It Goes Like This, (The Valory Music Co.), which spawned three consecutive #1 hits, making him Billboard’s first male country artist to do so from a debut album in over two decades. His “high-energy all the way” live show (El Paso Times) has caught the attention of critics out on the road, where he will headline the CMT On Tour: Suits & Boots tour this fall.

Eight CCMA Awards will be presented on the 2015 CCMA Awards Show, hosted by Jessi Cruickshank. The broadcast will feature a number of special performances and collaborations, and will include appearances by Canadian personalities and country music acts. This year’s show is being produced by Bristow Global Media Inc. Tickets are available at all Ticket Atlantic locations, by phone at 1-877-451-1221 or online at ticketatlantic.com, with prices ranging from $60.00 to $106.00, plus service charges and fees. Additional CCMA Award Show performers and presenters will be announced in the coming weeks.

Those are very good and talented performers. I have no doubts that they will be able to perform well on the awards show. I hope that they inspire more people to lean more towards country music. I hope that through this, country music will finally get back in the music industry's radar. I wish them luck and also hope that you could post photos and stories during the event.
