NYC's own Emily Duff recently released a new track entitled "Shame." Penned by Duff and recorded in Brooklyn at Excello Recording and engineered by Excello owner Hugh Pool (who also plays harmonica and slide guitar), "Shame" - about that emotion we've all felt one time or another - is a slow burning rocker led by Duff's grainy vocals, harmonica, and plenty of bluesy guitar riffs.

"SHAME I KNOW THAT PAIN
STANDING ON THE FRONT PORCH WATCHING YOU DRIVE AWAY
WE DON'T HAVE TO SAY
NOTHIN’ ABOUT WHAT WE DID YESTERDAY "

Listen and Purchase "Shame" HERE

The B Side to “SHAME” is a cover of one of Duff's favorite songs, “SYLVIA’S MOTHER,” written by Shel Silverstein.  Check it out HERE.

Catch Duff live at Cowgirl in NYC January 15th

Duff is headed back to FAME in Muscle Shoals, AL to make her new full length record in the Spring. Check out her GoFundMe link here: https://www.gofundme.com/manhattan-to-muscle-shoals-take-2

NASHVILLE, TN – After a five-year wait and a multitude of life changes, Scotty McCreery releases his highly anticipated album, Seasons Change, for digital pre-order everywhere today, ahead of its March 16 release on Sony’s Triple Tigers Records – his first album on the label. The project features his current nearly-Top 10-and-climbing radio hit “Five More Minutes,” which People calls an “emotional walk down memory lane.”

The 24-year old singer/songwriter has a lot to say on the 11-track album, produced by Rogers (McCreery’s See YouTonight, Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker), Derek Wells (guitarist for Kenny Chesney, Brett Eldridge, Little Big Town), and Aaron Eshuis (producer for Ryan Hurd, songwriter for A Thousand Horses, Joe Nichols, Cole Swindell).

With every song co-written by McCreery himself, Seasons Change marks the first time he’s played a hand in writing his entire album. With songs influenced by true-life events that occurred since he released his last album at 19 -- including moving out on his own, going to college, getting robbed at gunpoint, losing his grandfather, changing record labels, releasing a book and proposing to his high school sweetheart -- Seasons Change is a true reflection of where the North Carolina native is in life.

2. “Wherever You Are” (Scotty McCreery/Frank Rogers/Dan Isbell)

LA River Bend release 'Run These Hills'

Built upon intricate guitar embelishments, indie-folk facets and poetically pop melodies, LA River Bend have succeeded in creating an album of happy nostalgia. The four-piece, made up of Nate Weiner (Vocals, Guitar), Emily Elkin (Cello, Vocals), Branden Stroup (Bass, Vocals, Guitar) and Jacob Seldes (Drums) have honored traditions of Americana folk, by building the walls of their epic soundscapes, embracing the dynamics and ultimately developing an aesthetic unique to their own.

The band began life as backing Weiner’s solo album, ‘Ride The Sun’ where the group spent time rehearsing and touring up and down the West Coast. After spending hours recording and mixing tracks for this project, with long time friend Stroup and the addition of Elkin’s string arrangements, LA River Bend was born. With the introduction of their now signature three-part harmonies and Seldes on percussion, the new and improved band mastered their authentically rustic, yet beautifully atmospheric sound. Nate explains, “The addition of Seldes to the band is immeasurable, because I think our sound would have been less dimensional without his style of drumming."

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (January 12, 2017)  -  Welcome to Jennyville. Today, Jenny Tolman who brought you "Stripper for a Week" with over 120,000 streams on Spotify, releases her new single“Something To Complain About.”   The crafty singer/songwriter with her own twist and unique stylings co-wrote the unapologetic country song with Aaron Raitiere (three songs on Miranda Lambert’s The Weight of These Wings) and multi-Grammy® nominated producer Dave Brainard (Brandy Clark, Jerrod Neimann, Sunny Sweeney).  Music lovers in search of something fresh and new can download the single here or stream on Spotify here.

Tolman has developed an uplifting and positive way to interact with her fans on social media called Jenny’s Joy Jar. Every Sunday she asks her fans to post a picture holding a sign stating something they're grateful for.  She then puts all of their gratitude statements in a mason jar and once it’s full, she draws a winner on Facebook "Live" who then gets to request a cover song for her to perform.   #jennysjoyjar is connecting with people who are grateful for the opportunity to be a part of something good and wholesome, especially in a time when social media is filled with so much negativity.  Take a look at the official audio video for “Something To Complain About” and see why more than 67,000 Facebook followers agree.  Watch it here.

Jon Stickley Trio Announces New Drummer and Further Tour Dates

ASHEVILLE (Press Release) -- Jon Stickley Trio is a genre-defying and cinematic instrumental trio, who’s deep grooves, innovative flatpicking, and sultry-spacy violin moves the listener’s head, heart, and feet. “It’s not your father’s acoustic-guitar music—although Stickley’s pop showed him his first chords when he was 12 years old. Instead, Stickley’s Martin churns out a mixture of bluegrass, Chuck Berry, metal, prog, grunge, and assorted other genres—all thoroughly integrated into a personal style,” writes Guitar Player Magazine.

Premier Guitar says, “Stickley’s trio… is not a traditional bluegrass group by any means… they are just nimble and ambitious enough to navigate EDM-style breakbeats as effortlessly as the old timey standard ‘Blackberry Blossom.’”

“Stickley is a super-resourceful acoustic guitarist who uses the instrument in many surprising ways and whose timing is just flawless. Fiddler Lyndsay Pruett puts deep thought into her flowing solos, plus she adds little flourishes and sudden stops that elevate the music,” proclaims Nashville's Music City Roots’ Craig Havighurst.
