Ruby Force Shares "Cowboy" Music Video; Debut Album 'Evolutionary War' Out June 23

Ruby Force will release her debut album Evolutionary War  on  June 23. The album is available to pre-order now at Bandcamp. Today Ruby Force has shared the official video for "Cowboy" from the upcoming release with American Songwriter. About the video  Ruby Force's Erin McLaughlin says, "This is my first music video so it was DIY from the ground up, but so much fun to get to boss my friends around in a nice way all day. I got so lucky and had so much fun and I hope I get to make more little movies soon." Ruby Force has announced summer tour dates including a record release show taking place  June 24  at the  Hotel Cafe    in Los Angeles.

Evolutionary War  is Ruby Force's debut ten-song record. It transports a listener through McLaughlin’s own experiences – from her upbringing in the yellow-hued fields of the Southwest, through the dank, fluoresced streets of urban metropolises, and across a myriad of international seas. Enlisting the collaboration of musical luminaries such as Elijah Thomson (Everest, Delta Spirit, Father John Misty), Richard Swift (The Black Keys, The Shins, The Archs, Foxygen), Frank Lenz (Pedro The Lion) and Sean Watkins (Nickel Creek), McLaughlin keeps good company on the sojourn as these creative partners inject a wealth of heart, brains and guts into her already soul-wrenching compositions.
