Dallas Moore, whose band is the 2017 Ameripolitan Music Award winner for “Outlaw Group of the Year”, will bring his latest album, Mr. Honky Tonk, to the masses on March 2nd. Produced by Dean Miller and backed by country luminaries including harmonica legend Mickey Raphael, bassist Michael Rhodes and pedal-steel master Steve Hinson, Mr. Honky Tonk toes the line between Saturday-night hell raising and Sunday-morning God praising creating an album destined to become one that stands the test of time.
Today, Moore shares one of the album’s tracks, “Home Is Where The Highway Is.” Guided by an old school sound featuring bar-room piano, Raphael’s subtle harmonica, and Moore’s warm, gravelly vocals, the autobiographical tune pays homage to life on the road and the beloved places a troubadour calls home, leaving the listener with the sense that Moore, who played 327 shows in 2017, wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. “From coast to coast I’ve always been a rambler I’ll see and do it all before I die At my old stompin’ grounds in Carolina And way out west in big Montana skies They say this land is your land and it’s my land The only land in life I’ll ever love From sea to shining sea and all the land in there between made by God in heaven up above” Website Pre-order
