The Band Perry Hailed as Best Performance on CMA Awards

NASHVILLE, TN – (November 7, 2014) –This week proved to be a big one for sibling trio THE BAND PERRY. They showcased their musical prowess, performing a stirring rendition of Glen Campbell’s “Gentle On My Mind” on the CMA Awards Wednesday which was declared the “Best Performance” of the night by the Guardian and one of Rolling Stone magazine’s Best Moments. “Gentle On My Mind” is the band’s current single and featured on the soundtrack to the James Keach directed documentary Glen Campbell: I’ll Be Me. Also while at the CMA Awards, The Band Perry was invited to take over iHeartRadio’s social media. You can see their photos HERE.   

On Tuesday, The Band Perry attended BMI’s 62nd Annual Country Awards in Nashville, TN. Brothers Reid and Neil Perry were honored as songwriters of the band’s fourth #1 single, “DONE.”  The BMI Awards recognizes the songwriters and publishers of the top BMI country songs from the past year.  The invitation-only ceremony took place on the famed Music Row.  

In other news from The Band Perry, the 2014 ACM Group of the Year received a nomination from the People’s Choice Awards in the Favorite Country Group category.  Fans are encouraged to visit HERE and vote.   Voting ends December 4th, and the awards will be handed out in Los Angeles on January 7th and broadcast on CBS at 9PM EST/PST (Check Local Listings).  People's Choice, the original metric of pop culture, is dedicated to providing entertainment fans with a platform to express their opinions.
