Tyler Hilton Releases New Holiday Single "Don't Feel Like Christmas"

Singer/songwriter/actor Tyler Hilton has released an original holiday song today, called "Don't Feel Like Christmas." Hilton performs the track in the upcoming Lifetime movie The Christmas Contract, which airs nationwide on November 22.  Immediately following The Christmas Contract, Hilton will appear on ‘Tis the Season:  A One Tree Hill Cast Reunion.

About the song, Hilton says, "I always loved the bluesy, longing Christmas songs best. Something about the holidays magnify the loneliness or something. I was visiting family in Canada last Christmas and was sitting at this beautiful old piano looking outside at all the snow and this music started spilling out. It kept playing in my head after I got home to sunny LA and I found myself singing, “Don’t feel like Christmas...”. The bluesy vibe ended up fitting perfect for a holiday movie called “The Christmas Contract” that a bunch of my One Tree Hill friends were starring in, and I ended up getting to perform the song in the film." ​

In addition, Hilton is planning for his new album City On Fire,  to be released on January 18, 2019. Hilton has earned early support for the title track from Billboard and Entertainment Tonight.
 
Hilton moved to Los Angeles and released a self-titled indpendent album in 2000. He also indulged his other passion, acting, by appearing in The CW's One Tree Hill and the indie cult favorite Charlie Bartlett, and playing Elvis Presley in the 2005 Johnny Cash biopic Walk the Line. (Hilton's songs have been included on the Grammy Award -winning Walk the Line soundtrack and on all three of One Tree Hill's popular soundtracks). Hilton signed with Maverick Records and released The Tracks of Tyler Hilton in September 2004.  "I wrote all those songs when I was still in high school," he says, "and I was very impressed that the songs I wrote while I was doing homework ended up being released on a major label. That was really exciting to me.  I could have written those kinds of songs again, but I wanted to do better.  And I think my new album is better."
