There are just so many new artists out there that we absolutely love. For this list, we picked a few who we think have the potential to break out in 2014.
Brett Eldredge His #1 single “Don’t Ya” was one of the most infectious songs of the year. And there are many more where that came from on his album Bring You Back. His follow up single “Beat of the Music” is currently at country radio. He will tour with Billy Currington in 2014. Chase Rice He co-wrote “Cruise” and put out his own EP this year titled “Ready, Set, Roll.” The single of the same name is currently at country radio. His live shows are a lot of fun, so be sure to catch him on tour. You’ll have many opportunities as he will be supporting both Billy Currington and Dierks Bentley in 2014. Chris Janson He has had two terrific songs at country radio this past year, “Better I Don’t” and “Cut Me Some Slack,” and has played the Opry almost two dozen times. His live performance is energetic, electric and intense. Hello Eric Church, this guy needs to be on your 2014 tour. Cole Swindell A lot of people knew the “Chillin’ It” singer as “Luke Bryan’s merch guy.” I first saw him live in May subbing for Thompson Square & he blew me away. He worked the stage and the crowd like he was doing it for years. What’s that called? Oh yes, “a natural.” His highly anticipated debut album will be out in 2014. Dallas Smith He is already a huge star in Canada both as a member of the rock band Default and as a country artist. His fantastic 2012 album “Jumped Right In” earned him 4 CCMA nominations. This year, he opened for FGL on their US Tour and will continue to support them on Canadian dates. His current single “Tippin’ Point” is a Sirius XM Highway Find and has reached the Top 5 on their Hot 30 Live Countdown. An EP is due early next year. Jamie Lynn Spears Yes, I know she literally just released her first single, “How Could I Want More,” but if that is any indication of the type of artist she will be, I cannot wait for more music from her. The song is a traditional, heartfelt one sung with believeability and honesty. Lindsay Ell Another Canadian, Lindsay is a multi-talented singer songwriter and guitarist who is opening for The Band Perry on their We Are Pioneers World Tour. Her current single “Trippin’ On Us” is at radio now. She was recently named one of Billboard’s Bubbling Under artists and is readying a debut album for the new year. Parmalee In the same week they released their debut album, they had their first #1 song with “Carolina.” This is just the tip of great things to come for this talented band who released a true record that has no shortage of potential hits. The Cadillac Their brand of country fuzz is just straight up good music. Recently signed to BMLG, they released their first single “The South” featuring Dierks Bentley, Mike Eli and FGL this month. To grab a taste of their sound, get The Cadillac Black album and turn it up loud. Will Hoge He has been making good music for such a long time, it is nice to see him finally getting airplay on country radio with "Strong." His album was our 2013 #1 pick for a reason.
