One of TDC's favorites, Jeff Crosby, released a new song, "Keep Me Young," via his Bandcamp page today.
He had this to say about the song (via Bandcamp), "Wrote this song driving around LA working for a studio delivering rental gear. Someone spray painted "find something to love and let it kill you" on a concrete wall on Beverly blvd. Thought it was a fitting opening line for a song. Finished the 2nd verse in McCall, ID visiting this beach downtown where I used to hang out with my girlfriend and get stoned after school. ahhhhh those were the days. While I was on a solo tour last year in England I tracked this song at Clockwork Owl Studios in Brighton with Tim Bidwell producing and engineering. Really loved the studio and couldnt be happier with how it came out. Seems fitting to release it now turning 30 and all this week. Hope you enjoy" - JC Released January 31, 2017 Jeff Crosby - guitar, vocals, piano Recorded, Produced, and Engineered by Tim Bidwell with Clockwork Owl Studios Purchase the track HERE

January 13, 2017 (Nashville, TN) -- Nashville's The New Respects has returned with a new single, "Money," releasing the track today at all digital music services.
“'Money' was written while we were in college, when we didn’t have much,” reflects the band's bassist Alexis Fitzgerald. “The chorus says 'life ain’t about money,' and that’s true; we found happiness at a time when money was tight, and we wanted to share that sentiment with our fans. Our producer, Jeremy Lutito, helped us create a fun chorus and rhythm that would allow our audience to let loose and enjoy life in the moment."
On January 27th LA-based artist Auditorium will release The First Music, a goosebump-inducing album of lush, genre-defying arrangements and instant-earworm melodies. Auditorium is Spencer Berger who began performing at the age of nine as a member of The Metropolitan Opera’s Children’s Chorus, singing onstage with such golden-throated legends as Luciano Pavarotti and Placido Domingo. His 2011 debut album (Be Brave) and 2012 EP (Nights Worth Living) dropped jaws. Now Berger is returning with his second LP The First Music — grand in scope (15 songs) yet tightly constructed (33 minutes), it pulls off a magic trick by unearthing beauty and hope in some of life's darkest, most harrowing corners.
This isn't what I typically cover here, but I love it and thought some of you might too. Listen to "It's Only God, I Swear"
The first weekly playlist of 2017 includes some artists who released albums late last year (Reckless, Bradley Walker, GGG, Erik Dylan) and some who will be releasing new albums in early 2017 (AJ Hobbs, BOH, Whitney Rose) as well as a curveball with K Flay's "Blood In The Cut." I love all types of music , so if something grabs my ear from outside of what I typically cover here, I'm going to add it - because good music is good music. Let me know what you think of the tracks below and who's on your playlist.
