ACM Photos & Recap--from a fan's perspective

Had the opportunity to go to the ACM Expo in Vegas a few weeks ago, and it was a fantastic time. Here are just a few photos we took. Totally not professional, but these are artists who gave great performances. You should definitely check their music out, just sayin'.
Greg Bates performed a true country set. He is very traditional, reminding me of early Brad Paisley with his sound and humor in his lyrics.
Hunter Hayes totally won me over. He is talented, no doubt and put on a fantastic show. I went out and bought his album after the trip.
I have seen the EYB open numerous times for Dierks Bentley and I really enjoy them live. Watch for their drummer, Chris and his facial expressions as he plays. Those alone are worth the price of admission.
Charlie Worsham is perhaps my new fave. Of course he had a throng of young ladies up front, but he played to the entire audience and did it well. He is an accomplished songwriter and singer. We have his video for Could It Be on our video page.
Love and Theft and Florida Geogia Line definitely had the ladies screaming, but that aside, they are both great live. They sound tight, banter with one another, interact with the audience and give props to their band (which always wins points with me).
I have blogged about BBS before. True southern rockers, they played for about 100 people max and were one of the only bands on the Cooper Tire Stage to get people out of their seats for their set.
And of course Dierks Bentley, the headliner for the Expo on Saturday night. He's fun, genuine and connects with his audience like only a select few can. He had both Sheryl Crow (who sang and played guitar) and Tim McGraw who was brought out to present a home to a soldier and his family through Operation Homefront, as his special guests that night.
Other acts we had the pleasure of seeing were Brantley Gilbert, Justin Moore and The Band Perry. I truly cannot say a bad word about any of them and I would definitely pay to see them all again.
