It all started as a Friday night kitchen song-swapping session between friends to get through Montreal’s never-ending winter, and eventually led to the creation of their self-produced, self-titled album, El Coyote.
The Montreal-based alt-country-folk, Nashville influenced Canadiana band, El Coyote, consists of Angela Desveaux, Katie Moore, and Michelle Tompkins who handle songwriting, vocals and guitar. They are joined by Mike O'Brien on lead guitar, Andrew Horton on upright bass, Joe Grass on dobro and pedal steel, and Dave Payant on drums. In April, the group released their debut album which contains ten-tracks including "Only Temporary," a gorgeously emotional ballad - featuring delicate vocals, beautiful harmonies, and gentle, atmospheric melodies - that reminds us of the fleeting nature of life. "It’s only temporary A time that feels so new, This thing that gives you heartache, will flow to something new. It’s only part of living life, And soon you’ll be freed of, The good, the bad, the nothing at all, Embrace the ones you love, ‘cause they’re only temporary too."
