Originally formed in 2009 as an acoustic "chicken wing" outfit that played mostly small venues in the foothills of North Carolina, Metro Jethros later added drums and amplifiers allowing them to reach a wider audience by playing bigger clubs and festivals.
With musical backgrounds in genres including bluegrass, rock, country, Americana, and even metal, the band brings a very rounded sound to their music as they unite catchy hooks with heartfelt lyrics. Earlier this year, the band released their new self-titled album which blends ballads ("One Thing", "Storm") and country rockers ("Tailgate") for a solid listen to start to finish. One of the project's stand out tracks is "Crow Town," a quintessential roots rocker about a county outlaw whose jaunty melody is replete with an emotive harmonica intro, fiddle, acoustic guitar, and harmonies that you'll soon find yourself moving, or singing along, to. "You may miss me senorita You may miss me when I'm gone Think of me in the wintertime When you hear a lonesome fiddle song" Get Plugged In above. Metro Jethros is Chris Campbell, Sid Collins, Jonathan Estep and Jon Zimmerman. For more information please visit HERE
