California-based singer-songwriter Ben Bostick is a rising Americana artist that roots music fans need on their radar. Bostick's eponymous record—his first full-length—was released July 7th and takes a turn into personal territory with a broad range of musical and emotional content from humor to depth to excitement to melancholy. Co-produced with John Would (Warren Zevon, Fiona Apple), the ten-song LP contains all originals written by Bostick and includes “The Juggler” which takes a lighter turn with a story of a ridiculous self-pitying Lothario who tries to juggle three lovers. “It’s a favorite at live shows,” said Bostick, adding, “My girlfriend would like you to know that it’s not autobiographical.” Watch the video for the jaunty tale below.
