Fiona Harte is a 24 year old Northern Irish Singer-Songwriter currently based in New York City. Her debut single "White Picket Fence" was inspired by the highs and lows people experience when in a relationship - "It's about being in love with someone but having the sense to know it isn't a promising or compromising relationship. The song focuses on how your desired person can control your emotions by doing so little. Even though the song portrays as sad, the White Picket Fence refers to having hope, perhaps for that love or another".
Having worked with names such as Duke Special, Rachel Sage and Steve Lillywhite, she now has decided to focus solely on her own material. Fiona was chosen as one of Pan-arts Top Songwriters of the Year in 2017, this has led her to perform in various famous music venues including Nashville's Blue Bird Café. Directed by Kelly Levacher, the music video for "White Picket Fence" was shot in Williamsburg NYC. Watch the video above and for more information visit HERE

The new single from Adam Plomaritas, “The Other Side” is an honest and heartfelt conversation about marriage and the rough road ahead. It pulls back the curtain with a leap of faith, and talks about the grit that keeps two people together even when the road seems to be driving them apart. Like a warm summer rain, the music’s sonic elements wash over each layer like beads of water on a car windshield.
“The Other Side” was inspired by a conversation that Plomaritas had with his wife before they were married. While sitting in her Dodge Neon in a Steak & Shake parking lot, he laid it all on the line, and told her about his dream of being a full time musician. Despite the erratic schedule, nights away, and inconsistent money, he promised that if they stayed together, it would be worth the instability. But he still gave her an out if she wanted it. Now a self-sustaining musician, Plomaritas reflects on the struggles along the way, and those he still faces. He explains, “The lyrics start off talking about how my wheels are spinning. Even though I’m creeping into my 30s in a profession where youth is paramount, it’ll all be worth it. As the song progresses with every milestone I hit and corner I turn, I’m worried that I may be losing her. So I keep walking that tightrope of fulfilling my dreams and career ambitions and being a present husband and father.” Each element of the song ties together a piece of the story and puts Plomaritas’ honesty on display. As the guitar slowly progresses through each section, it is accented with radiant piano, a steady drum beat, and powerful vocal harmony hooks. “The Other Side” builds from a slow rolling start to a full on plea with Plomaritas’ soaring vocals encapsulating elements of Americana and blues. There’s depth to the soul woven throughout, and that encapsulated mixture shines. Get Plugged In above and for more information visit the links below. To describe Arms Akimbo is a maddening series of clichés that manage to form something truly original. They met in college. They all liked the same bands (Portugal. The Man, Local Natives, Hippo Campus, Walk The Moon). They released a self-produced EP (Vignettes) that found quick success. They opened for some bigger bands. This would be tiringly familiar were it not for the surprising speed with which the band gained fans in their Los Angeles hometown. They sold out a small club, sold out a larger club, then another, then sold out legendary club The Troubadour. For a local band, standing out can be a slow and painful task but Arms Akimbo's Peter Schrupp, Christopher Kalli, Matthew Sutton and Colin Boppell have tapped into that post-college-now-wtf vein of hope, insecurity and fuck it, let's just enjoy this with their most recent EP The Wrong Kind Of Dance Party. Instantly familiar, the EP (songs from which are interspersed by recordings from an actual house party they threw in their former house), immediately drops you into a typical kegger with all the promise of a good time as well all the dashed hopes and inevitable heartbreak. But the EP slowly exposes the deeper side. The part where you end up at the end of the night, sitting with your best friend in the driveway and wondering what the point of life is. Whatever it is, the band has hit a nerve. Maybe it's that never ending nag that this time in life is fleeting, that responsibility is knocking hard on the door. Maybe it's the inspiration that you don't ever have to lose this feeling. Maybe it's also a sign of the times… that in an increasingly unpredictable world, the only thing you can count on are friends and the moment: This time, your time.
The four-piece, who have found success touring with Walk The Moon, The Animals and Said The Whale recently released their new track, ‘Devil’. Chris Kalil explains the story behind the tune, “Devil” is about our love/hate relationship with Los Angeles and a sarcastic observation on how easy it is to get jaded about the faux-celebrity Instagram culture that is all over the city. We’re taking a jab at social media obsession for painting a false picture of the way things are — and we’re taking a jab at ourselves for choosing to take part in it all." Twenty-three year-old Toronto born, Los Angeles based artist Jessie Munro has been mesmerizing audiences worldwide, with her stunning soulful vocals and sleek, modern-electro R&B/pop. Finding her start in classical music and musical theatre, Munro went on to attend the Berklee College of Music, propelling her songwriting abilities and giving her the musical maturity which is evident throughout her music. The soulful songstress is now preparing to release her Debut EP On My Own, a six-track release which tackles the stages of post break-up.
On My Own tells the story of living through bleak heartbreak, with relatable honest lyricism and beautifully poetic melodies, it’s an EP of reflection and contemplation. Narrating the feeling of being alone, the pain of unrequited love and finding courage and confidence to move on, the release is an authentic story of a lost love. Influenced by artists such as Carole King, Daniel Caesar and Charlotte Day Wilson, Munro describes “we were trying to harness old school classic sounds and marry them with modern sounds”. Leading single 'Under Fire’ features a strong, melodic bassline which rides fluidly atop the driving drums and Munro’s soulful, dreamlike vocals. Thematically, the song focuses on the pressures of social expectations and constantly feeling scrutinized by others. Munro reflects on how she felt she was “under fire” from everyone in her life and the song is the realization that other peoples opinions aren’t always definitive. Inspired by Lianne La Havas and her technique of fusing lyrics with melody, Munro explains “the intent of the lyric is brought to life with a melody that evokes that same emotion” and this is clearly apparent throughout the single. On My Own due for release Summer 2018. https://www.instagram.com/jessieleithmunro/ https://www.facebook.com/jessieleithmunro/ https://twitter.com/jessieleith
Cinematic Southern Gothic alt-rockers Curse Of Lono are prepping the release of their new album, AS I FELL (August 17th). This past Friday, the five-piece shared another track from the project, “Tell Me About Your Love," a pulsating guitar-led track that gets under your skin from the get-go. Give it a listen above.
About Curse of Lono: Formed in London in 2015, Curse Of Lono is Felix Bechtolsheimer (vocals and guitar), Joe Hazell (lead guitar and vocals), Dani Ruiz Hernandez (keys and vocals), Charis Anderson (bass and vocals) and Neil Findlay (drums). ‘As I Fell’ is the follow-up to ‘Severed’, one of the most critically acclaimed debuts of 2017, and builds on Curse Of Lono’s deeply cinematic blend of harmony-laden Americana and driving, gothic alt-rock.
On September 7th, Nashville indie rockers, Future Thieves will be releasing their latest self-titled album. In advance of the upcoming project, the quartet debuted a new track, “Dark Spin,” a dreamy synth-pop track that deals with emerging from a personally dark period and figuring out what's next.
The lengthy process behind the Future Thieves’ new release is a far cry from their most recent record, a live-in-the-studio album captured entirely in an hour. Comprised largely of material from the band’s critically acclaimed 2015 debut, ‘Horizon Line,’ ‘Live at Blue Rock’ garnered praise everywhere from Conan O’Brien’s Team Coco to Guitar World, which hailed it as a “collection of turbo-charged Americana tunes.” Relix similarly raved that the album “captures the quartet’s spirit and intensity,” while The Tennessean simply lauded the band as “incredible.” They followed it up in 2017 with “Sucker,” an infectious single that earned love from Billboard, who highlighted the band’s newfound “infusion of…electro-pop grooves,” and Jimmy Fallon, who premiered the official video on The Tonight Show’s Tumblr. The group’s searing live show, meanwhile, helped them notch festival appearances from Bonnaroo to Summerfest and prompted Live Nation to name them to their Ones To Watch series. Future Thieves are Elliot Collett (vocals/Guitar), Austin McCool (Guitar), Nick Goss (Bassist), and Gianni Gibson (Drums). For more information visit HERE. Los Angeles-based singer, composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist Tim Carr has released his new single, "Take Me There." A delicately melancholy single, "Take Me There" touches on the desire to escape apathy, highlighting the need to either let go and fully love or let go of a love. Via raw, understated tones, delicate instrumentation, ethereal vocal harmonies, and graceful melodies, Carr succeeds in crafting a beautifully poignant song. Get Plugged In above. Raised in Marin County, Northern California, Carr was surrounded by a family of musicians. At an early age he immersed himself into music and studied Jazz drums at the prestigious California Institute of the Arts. After graduating with a BFA, Carr soon began working with notable acts including HAIM, Julian Casablancas and Nick Cave, to name a few. His time with the band The Americans saw him performing on Letterman, recording with T Bone Burnett, as well as being featured in the Emmy-nominated documentary ‘American Epic’, which was produced by T Bone Burnett, Jack White and Robert Redford. Carr’s highly anticipated upcoming EP Swing & Turn, is the follow up to his 2016 release The Last Day of Fighting, which found success being featured on Robert Redford’s ‘Watershed’ soundtrack, alongside the likes of Beck and Thom Yorke. Swing & Turn is titled after the feeling of movement, like a dance between intimacy and independence, which is also a common theme in the music. Having mixed, produced and engineered the five track release himself, Swing & Turn is the perfect balance of dissonance and consonance, with unexpected swelling harmonies, lilting rhythms and minimalistic pop. https://www.facebook.com/timcarrmusic https://www.instagram.com/timgca https://twitter.com/timgca
Originally formed in 2009 as an acoustic "chicken wing" outfit that played mostly small venues in the foothills of North Carolina, Metro Jethros later added drums and amplifiers allowing them to reach a wider audience by playing bigger clubs and festivals.
With musical backgrounds in genres including bluegrass, rock, country, Americana, and even metal, the band brings a very rounded sound to their music as they unite catchy hooks with heartfelt lyrics. Earlier this year, the band released their new self-titled album which blends ballads ("One Thing", "Storm") and country rockers ("Tailgate") for a solid listen to start to finish. One of the project's stand out tracks is "Crow Town," a quintessential roots rocker about a county outlaw whose jaunty melody is replete with an emotive harmonica intro, fiddle, acoustic guitar, and harmonies that you'll soon find yourself moving, or singing along, to. "You may miss me senorita You may miss me when I'm gone Think of me in the wintertime When you hear a lonesome fiddle song" Get Plugged In above. Metro Jethros is Chris Campbell, Sid Collins, Jonathan Estep and Jon Zimmerman. For more information please visit HERE
It all started as a Friday night kitchen song-swapping session between friends to get through Montreal’s never-ending winter, and eventually led to the creation of their self-produced, self-titled album, El Coyote.
The Montreal-based alt-country-folk, Nashville influenced Canadiana band, El Coyote, consists of Angela Desveaux, Katie Moore, and Michelle Tompkins who handle songwriting, vocals and guitar. They are joined by Mike O'Brien on lead guitar, Andrew Horton on upright bass, Joe Grass on dobro and pedal steel, and Dave Payant on drums. In April, the group released their debut album which contains ten-tracks including "Only Temporary," a gorgeously emotional ballad - featuring delicate vocals, beautiful harmonies, and gentle, atmospheric melodies - that reminds us of the fleeting nature of life. "It’s only temporary A time that feels so new, This thing that gives you heartache, will flow to something new. It’s only part of living life, And soon you’ll be freed of, The good, the bad, the nothing at all, Embrace the ones you love, ‘cause they’re only temporary too."
