Terms Of My Surrender, the latest chapter in Hiatt's prolific run of albums is nominated for a GRAMMY Award in the Best Americana Album category. The title track was also recognized with a nomination in the Best American Roots Song category.  

Terms Of My Surrender, which was released on New West Records, was masterfully produced by Hiatt's longtime guitarist Doug Lancio and was completely a band effort, with his current group, which he calls simply the Combo, a tight-yet-loose unit from years together on the road: Lancio on guitars, banjo and mandolin, Nathan Gehri on bass, Kenneth Blevins on drums, Brandon Young on background vocals and keyboards from John Coleman on some of the tracks.  

Hiatt's songs have been recorded by artists as diverse as Bob Dylan, Bonnie Raitt ("Thing Called Love"), Emmylou Harris, Iggy Pop, Rosanne Cash (#1 country hit, "The Way We Make A Broken Heart"), the Jeff Healey Band ("Angel Eyes"), and even the cartoon bear band of Disney's film, The Country Bears. 

He earned a GRAMMY nomination for Crossing Muddy Waters, while B.B. King and Eric Clapton shared a GRAMMY for their album Riding With The King, the title track from which was a Hiatt composition. Hiatt has received his own star on Nashville's Walk of Fame, the Americana Music Association's Lifetime Achievement Award for Songwriting, has been inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame and was saluted at the Indiana Governor's Arts Awards. The rock-country-blues fusion album Bring The Family - performed with Ry Cooder, Nick Lowe, and Jim Keltner - was Hiatt's first album to chart on the top Billboard 200, and featured his first single entry on the mainstream rock chart with "Thank You Girl". He was subsequently named Best Male Vocalist in Rolling Stone's annual Critics Poll. In the last few years Hiatt has released Same Old Man, The Open Road, Dirty Jeans & Mudslide Hymns and Mystic Pinball all to critical acclaim.

The 10 year overnight success model is one Josh Grider is very familiar with.  You know, the one where the guy that's been hanging around for about a decade finally gets his shot at the big time?  Having been a respected member of the Texas/Red Dirt Music Scene for years, it wasn't until spring of 2013 that momentum really started to build for this NM born singers career.  There had been little successes along the way however, Josh's career got kicked into a high gear in early 2012 when he signed his first publishing deal with AMP Entertainment, and subsequently recorded The Gettin' There.  That year he was featured on the national television show Troubadour TX.  The Gettin' There would yield three number one songs on the Texas Regional Radio Report, and two number one songs on the Texas Music Chart.  In November 2013 he carried that momentum into the studio with producer Trent Willmon to record 2014's well received album Luck & Desire.

Nashville, TN (January 9, 2015)-- It was announced today that Streamsound Records’ President/CEO Steve Richardson has signed a multi-year distribution deal with RED Distribution, a division of Sony Music Entertainment.

Under this new relationship, RED Distribution will now handle the label’s digital distribution worldwide and physical distribution in the U.S. and Canada. The debut solo album from Kristian Bush, whose single, "Trailer Hitch,” is breaking into the Top 25 at country radio, will be the first album release this coming Spring 2015.

Emerging artist SaraBeth returned to her home state of Texas and was invited to perform at the restaurant where she used to waitress. Hubbard’s in Rowlett is a family dining establishment where SaraBeth worked for eight years.
 
“Hubbard’s feels like family.  I was ecstatic to be asked to come and do a show there, especially since they’ve never had live music before.  It was great to serve up food for the soul instead of food for the body,” SaraBeth said.
 
She is currently finishing work on a new EP to be released in the Spring.

Another country music festival, this time in Georgia. The Shaky Boots Music Festival will take place in Atlanta on May 16th and 17th and the lineup doesn't appear to be half bad. Brad Paisley,Dierks Bentley, The Band Perry, Dwight Yoakam, Jason Isbell, Old Crow Medicine Show and dozens more of the biggest acts in country music will perform over two days. Other artists we would be excited to see include the always incredible Drake White, The Railers and The Whiskey Gentry.

The three-stage event is from the producers of the Shaky Knees Festival and will be held at the KSU Sports and Entertainment Park in Kennesaw, Ga.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (January 7, 2015)--Singer/songwriter and hit-country recording artist, George Ducas, was hand-selected by the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™ to write, record and produce the exclusive RODEOHOUSTON® theme song.  Ducas penned “Party With Your Boots On”  to fit the bill.   

“The idea was to create a country rock sound and a music track that defined RODEOHOUSTON,” said James Davidson, managing director of audio visual presentations and broadcasts for the Show. “We wanted a tune that would become familiar quickly, generate excitement and define who we are as an organization, and George nailed it.”

The theme song, “Party With Your Boots On” (co-written with Danny Myrick/recorded and produced by Ducas), will be incorporated into a pre-produced video created to help kick off each rodeo performance inside NRG Stadium and broadcast on FOX Sports Southwest during its regular rodeo broadcast schedule.  Ducas will also appear in the opening piece that will feature full 4K video, HD motion graphics and rodeo highlights.  The track will be highlighted as the musical bed under all radio and television broadcast advertisements promoting the Show’s entertainers and events.  The Show will produce the corresponding full-length “Party With Your Boots On” music video; the video will appear on a number of Houston community websites as well as the Show’s website and social media outlets.
