NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 30, 2018) – Rising country singer-songwriter Kendall Gary has released the video to accompany her new single, “Your Love.” A digital exclusive was premiered on International country music digital outlet Think Country. The video can be viewed online here. The single is available on digital platforms Amazon Music and iTunes for download and streaming on Spotify. “The song itself is so simple and I didn’t want to take away from that. I wanted the video to be just as simple, natural, and intimate between my audience and I. The biggest focus behind the video was not to take away from the song and the lyrics,” said Kendall. “This was achieved by keeping it pure, simple, and clean. I wanted my audience to find a part of themselves in my video, or just lose themselves while listening, and be able to relate closely with the lyrics.”

“The unofficial poet laureate of New York City.”—UNCUT “One of the most brilliant singer-songwriters of the past 30 years.” —THE NEW YORKER Billboard premiered a track from the new album: http://bit.ly/2L7hoiv NEW YORK, N.Y. — “I made this album because I needed a pick-me-up from the blues that’s all around us,” Willie Nile says of his new album Children of Paradise, out on July 27, 2018 on the artist's own River House label through Virtual Label. “The music always lifts my spirits, and that’s what these songs do for me and it’s why I wrote them. Hopefully they can lift others’ spirits as well.” With 12 bracing new originals and an immediate sound that reflects the artist’s deep affinity for rock ’n’ roll’s gritty roots, Children of Paradise ranks with Nile’s most distinctive and resonant work. Co-produced by Nile and Grammy-winner and longtime collaborator Stewart Lerman (Elvis Costello/Patti Smith/Norah Jones), the album features such timely compositions as “Seeds of a Revolution,” “All Dressed Up and No Place to Go,” “Don’t,” "Earth Blues,” and “Gettin’ Ugly Out There.” The heartfelt “Lookin’ for Someone” was co-written with longtime friend Andrew Dorff, a seasoned songwriting pro who wrote country hits for the likes of Blake Shelton, Tim McGraw, Dierks Bentley and Kenny Chesney. Dorff died unexpectedly shortly after the song was written, and Nile has dedicated Children of Paradise to him. (Press Release) On August 10, the Mississippi-bred singer & guitarist Jason Eady returns with a new album I Travel On. The album is his first to be recorded with his ace touring band who have been relentlessly touring behind Eady's critically acclaimed self-titled album that was released in 2017. GRAMMY-nominated musicians Rob Ickes and Trey Hensley accompanied Eady, his bandmates and wife Courtney Patton to round out the lineup that would execute the live, single-take sessions. Watch a teaser video feautring a clip of the album's first single "Calaveras County" via YouTube: https://youtu.be/hspzhWRO1uE With his catalog spanning from blues-infused Americana to bare-bones reimagining of classic country, Eady’s seventh full-length takes on a looser, livelier, more groove-driven sound than ever before. But while I Travel On brims with a feel-good spontaneity, the Fort Worth-based artist continues to instill each song with the subtle insight and emotional depth that makes his music so powerful. Watch "Worrisome, Oh Worried Me" HERE Troublesome Hollow is back with their fifth album, following an 18-year hiatus from recording and 17 years apart. The East Tennessee bluegrass/Americana trio’s “Old School” (Fat Dog Records) is comprised of 17-tracks— seven original songs and ten covers and traditional tunes, some sad; others humorous. “Penny Song” is an original tune about growing up poor, while “Worrisome, Oh Worried Me” explores financial problems with a wink and nod. “We jokingly dedicate that one to musicians, because it’s about having trouble paying your bills,” said singer/songwriter Tim White, who plays guitar and banjo on the album. “It’s about struggling to make ends meet, which a lot of people can relate to.” (Nashville, Tennessee…Press Release) –May 25, 2018 – Black Country Rock recently announced the release of singer/songwriter Tommy Townsend's Turn Back The Clock album, and the seven-song collection is now available through an iTunes pre-order here. Instead, Stickley’s Martin churns out a mixture of bluegrass, Chuck Berry, metal, prog, grunge, and assorted other genres—all thoroughly integrated into a personal style,” writes Guitar Player Magazine. Born into a musical family, multi-instrumentalist and visual artist Heather Taylor is creative to her core. Classically trained in flute, the now Asheville, NC resident embraces the soul of Appalachian folk while drawing elements of blues, Americana, roots and rock into her songwriting.
In August, Taylor will release her new album, Undercurrents, and today TDC is thrilled to premiere the lead single from the project, "Up On A Mountain." Inspired by the rich storytelling culture of Appalachia, "Up On A Mountain" is an expansive ode to preservation that shines an introspective light on taking a deeper look at one's self, surroundings, and relationships to forge beneficial, lasting connections. Taylor shares, "Up On A Mountain helps me look at a certain heaviness around life in a somewhat playful and hopeful way. The song was influenced and combined with a tune called 'Well, Well Well' which was written by Danny O'Keefe and Bob Dylan. They gave me a steady platform & an inspiration to emphasize important messages that continue to hold value. I'll leave it up to the listener to interpret, but I aim to support digging deeper in relationships with ourselves, with others, as well as with our environment." Listen, and share, "Up On A Mountain" below, then read on to learn more about Heather. Stream "Married Young" This September, Elise Davis returns with her sophomore album Cactus, the follow up to her 2016 critically-acclaimed debut The Token. With Cactus, Elise moves between lush alt-country and stripped-down folk confessionals, gluing everything together with story-driven songs about independence, liberation, and resilience as an adult woman. Today, Elise Davis shared "Married Young" (co-written with Erin Enderlin and Alex Cline), the second song to be released from the forthcoming album. In an interview with Billboard, Davis explains, "I was talking to [Erin] about this person I was seeing when I was 20 years old, living in a shitty little apartment. He exposed me to Tom Waits and vinyl and stuff like that. So (the song is) a merging of the fact she got married when she was young; The chorus is about that, and the rest of the song is nostalgia from this relationship I had when I was young." Career compilation Hyperactive coming from BMG’s Masters Collection series on July 27. BALTIMORE, Md. (Press Release) — Thomas Dolby — musician, video director, author, and now a university professor — is set for a short U.S. tour in July and August 2018 with a show titled An Evening of Music and Storytelling With Thomas Dolby. He will tell the story behind the genesis of each, while simultaneously deconstructing its musical parts, synth sounds, and lyrics. The resulting music will be output from his laptop and keyboards, and projected on a screen behind him, along with personal photos and memorabilia. Each performance will therefore be a slightly different audiovisual experience, with surprises each night. |
