(Press Release) The Snakehandlers had a great excuse to skip SXSW this year - they began tracking for their new album, Little Black Heart at Dale Watson's Ameripolitan Studios with Cris Burns (Rosie Flores, Asleep at the Wheel, The Mavericks) manning the board. They are finalizing vocals now, the album will be released this summer. Ruby and guitarist Jorge Harada will co-produce for the first time, a new set of Ruby-penned songs since her journey back from a serious brain injury that threatened to sideline her permanently 8 years ago. The accident was devastating physically and personally - afterwords she was unable to speak easily let alone write or compose songs, so she began writing recipes out for friends and family as a form of cognitive therapy. Within 8 months, she found she'd written a southern cook book: Ruby's Juke Joint Americana Cookbook. Ruby soon found a publisher to release it and began hosting a cooking show on the radio. But songwriting continued to elude her, until a few years ago, when something clicked into place and she began again. "It takes a lot more out of me, but that makes me feel like I am giving that much more of myself to the song," Ruby reflects.

37th Release from Black Country Rock Produced by Shooter Jennings (Hollywood, California Press Release) - March 31, 2016 - Billy Don Burns may not be a household name in most music circles, but the singer/songwriter/producer is often listed in same sentence when referring to original outlaws like Waylon, Willie, Merle, Johnny and Kris. In the beginning of 2014, during a period of sobriety for Burns, he, Shooter Jennings, the late Colonel Jon Hensley and a few others retreated to the Joshua Tree Inn in Joshua Tree, CA, to room 8, the hotel room where Gram Parsons was found dead in 1973. The result is the incredibly compelling A Night In Room 8, set for a very limited release exclusive to Record Store Day on white vinyl April 16, 2016 and June 17 on digital and CD formats. The entirety of A Night In Room 8 was recorded within the hotel room on a Tascam Portastudio (the same model on which Bruce Springsteen recorded Nebraska.) A Night in Room 8 is an eerie yet extremely vulnerable album of new, brilliant material from such a relic of country music. The environment of the recording by itself creates a very unusual and haunting atmosphere for the performances. NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Press Release) – The Bellamy Brothers returned to the U.S. after another sold-out European tour that included packed venues in Denmark, Switzerland, Sweden and Finland. While they did not travel to Brussels, the internationally-acclaimed duo were warned of heightened security and potential threats while overseas. "The news of the Brussels Airport bombing was released less than an hour before we were due to depart our hotel to the Zurich Airport for our flight to Stockholm via Amsterdam. There was heightened security in the form of armed guards at the check-in counters at the Zurich Airport. By the time we landed in Amsterdam, the news had reached our family and friends in the USA. We all started receiving emails, text and Facebook messages and phone calls from people concerned about our safety. Many of those concerned wanted to know if we would cancel the remainder of the tour and return to the USA. While this was a horrific tragedy, unfortunately it is unrealistic to think a similar attack can't happen in the USA or anywhere else in the world. If we live our lives in fear, the terrorists have succeeded. Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Brussels and the families of those who lost loved ones," David Bellamy said.
