(Los Angeles, California Press Release) -- January 8, 2016 - Ecclectic producer, singer, songwriter Shooter Jennings has built a career highlighted by music as diverse as his devoted fan base, and his seventh studio LP Countach (for Giorgio) is no different. The new album, comprised of songs composed or inspired by production pioneer Giorgio Moroder, will be released on vinyl February 26, 2016 and on CD March 11.
 
This is no tribute album. Countach is a sound collage-style journey through 80s and 90s culture, innovative songwriting, genre-bending fiddle-meets-synthesizer soundscapes and a shrine to pioneers of books, bytes and beats.
 
Printed on pink vinyl, Countach features guest appearances from modern folk songstress Brandi Carlile, Antichrist Superstar Marilyn Manson, country-rock pioneer Steve Young and even Lord British himself, computer game leviathan Richard Garriott. 
 
In addition to the limited vinyl pressing, cd and traditional online outlets,Countach will be available on cassette, 8-track and cylinder formats on BCR Los Angeles and was produced by Shooter. The album follows Shooter's 2014 release of Don't Wait Up (for George) an EP paying tribute to George Jones.

HAYESVILLE, N.C. (Press Release)— For a guy whose musical moment rose and fell about as fast as a cloudburst, the story of folk singer-songwriter Sammy Walker’s career carries more twists than a tornado. The latest comes in the form of a April 8, 2016 Ramseur Records release titled Brown Eyed Georgia Darlin’. 

One could call this vinyl LP and CD combo package a follow-up to his 2008 Ramseur album, Misfit Scarecrow — except that it predates that material by more than three decades. Recorded in the mid-1970s at New York’s famed Record Plant, Brown Eyed Georgia Darlin’ contains the previously unreleased demos that earned Walker a contract with Warner Bros. Records. How he got there — and from there to here — is one of those crazy music-biz tales that makes you wonder whether to laugh or cry. The best approach, it turns out, is to take a cue from his songs. The humor and heartache they contain are as real as it gets. 

Nashville, TN (Press Release) Valory Music Artist Eli Young Band rang in the New Year in style with a pair of SOLD OUT shows in Dallas-Fort Worth, at the legendary dancehall Billy Bob’s Texas, selling over 5,500 tickets a night.  The first show was a full band, high energy, hit laden blow out.  The second show was a special acoustic co-headline with Josh Abbott Band that included both bands on stage at the same time. 

On the second night, the two bands kicked off the show, without their lead singers, performing a cover of The Beatles “Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band.” As the song merged into “A Little Help from My Friend," singers Eli and Abbott joined the stage.  With a playful camaraderie established, the bands swapped songs for nearly 2 hours while the enthusiastic crowd sang along.

“It was the perfect way to close out 2015 and a great way to kick off the New Year,” said James Young.  “We’re blessed to have such loyal fans and a successful, growing career.  Can’t wait to get our new music out to the fans in 2016!”  The band will head back into the studio this month to finish recording with producers Ross Copperman and Jeremy Stover.  The new album is due on Valory Music Company this year.

The band recently wrapped their headline Winter 2015 Tour and will resume touring next Tuesday in Charlotte, NC.  Later this month, the band will be in Nashville performing at the 2016 All Star NHL All Star Concert Series on Sunday, January 31st.

Something Real is about to come your way.
 
(Press Release) On March 11, 2016, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real will deliver its heavily-anticipated third album, Something Real, on the Royal Potato Family imprint.
 
Something Real documents the trail blazed by this hard-driving ensemble in its recent past. Most of all, it captures them in all their current glory as songwriters, performers and progenitors of the style they characterize as "cowboy hippie surf rock."
 
The title track launches ahead of the full-length album release. Its slamming groove shifts in and out of double-time, jams on the brakes and takes off again as Nelson burns through a fiery guitar solo and demands, "I  want to see you get mad I want to see you crying for me. Give me something real!"
 
Like all the songs on Something Real, the video for "Something Real" was recorded at San Francisco's William Westerfeld Mansion, whose previous residents included Janis Joplin, jazz saxophonist John Handy and a group of exiled royalists in the wake of the Russian Revolution.
 
With all the music on the album being performed at the Westerfeld Mansion, Something Real offers songs recorded in late 2014 but withheld until after the band's historic session with Neil Young, The Monsanto Years, was released in 2015. That album was followed by the launch of Neil Young + Promise of the Real's Rebel Content Tour, which included performances at Farm Aid 30 in Chicago last September and at the 29th Annual Bridge School Benefit Concert event in San Francisco earlier in October.

NASHVILLE, TN - January 6, 2016 (Press Release)- Fresh from returning from his second Ireland tour (Red Dirt Pub Crawl), Alt-country singer/songwriterBart Crow received a string of good news about the success of his album The Parade as well as the debut single “Life Comes At  You Fast” to wrap up 2015.

Apple Music chose The Parade as one of the “Best of 2015: Americana” albums. The album entered the AMA Americana Airplay chart at No. 40 and made an impressive leap 13 spots to No. 27 after only one week in early November. The album was still charted at No. 36 on the last chart of 2015.

Crow’s debut single “Life Comes At You Fast” from The Parade peaked at No. 2 on the Texas Music Chart, remaining in the Top 5 for a record six weeks, but still became the No. 1 Most Played of 2015 on the Texas Music Chart. “Life Comes At  You Fast” was on the Texas Music Charts for over 28 weeks making it arguably the longest running song in 2015 on the chart.

The Parade also received recognition from the Houston Press as one of the Best Albums of 2015.

“Dear Music,” (the song Starbucks chose to feature in their Overhead Music Program in late 2015) will be released on Monday, January 11 as the next single from The Parade.  “I wanted to profess my love of and to music,” Crow explains in writing ‘Dear Music,’ “I wanted to write about its charm, its calming and healing abilities and its ability to wrap itself around most memories. Good or bad. Big and small. It’s completely my open diary to the one universal gift.”

In 2015, the same year he realized a dream of being invited to make his debut on the Grand Ole Opry, Crow also received a huge honor in his home state with the invitation to add his name to the infamous “backstage pass” wall at the world’s largest honky-tonk - Billy Bob’s Texas joining the ranks of many music legends to have earned the honor including Willie Nelson, Loretta Lynn,  Alan Jackson, Alabama, Hank Williams, Jr., Chris LeDoux, Blake Shelton, Dwight Yoakam, Charlie Robison, and Marty Stuart among others.

Nashville, TN (Press Release) – Dynamic Oklahoma born singer/songwriter Parker Millsap will release The Very Last Day on March 25th, via Okrahoma Records/Thirty Tigers. The anticipated sophomore release boldly showcases the growth in both Millsap’s arresting vocals and his thoughtful, intelligent songwriting. Since the 2014 release of his self-titled debut, Parker Millsap has been steadily building a dedicated fan base, wowing audiences and garnering critical acclaim from outlets such as USA Today, NPR, and The Wall Street Journal. He has also performed at high profile festivals including Stagecoach, Austin City Limits Festival, and Forecastle.  

Millsap’s themes are both traditional and contemporary, and rife with life and literary influences. Whether he’s singing about the experience of a gay friend, longing for his evangelical father’s acceptance in “Heaven Sent”, or as the king of the Underworld in “Hades Pleads” (inspired by Greek mythology) his character-driven narratives evoke emotion and draw the listener in.  

Millsap co-produced The Very Last Day with Grammy Award-winning engineer Gary Paczosa (John Prine/Alison Krauss/Dolly Parton) and recorded it at Dockside Studio in Maurice, Louisiana.  Along with band-mates fiddle player Daniel Foulks, bassist Michael Rose and drummer Paddy Ryan, the album features a bigger and lusher sound than his debut, incorporating percussion, piano and Millsap on electric guitar. Guest vocalists Sarah Jarosz, Sara Watkins and Aoife O’Donovan shine on an album highlight, “Heaven Sent”.  

Parker Millsap’s gut-punching narratives, riveting vocals and soulful performances are on full display on The Very Last Day. The new offering should prove to be a milestone in the 22 year old’s young body of work, and a foreshadowing of things to come.

Circle S Records artist SaraBeth is set to headline a benefit concert to help raise funds for the tornado victims of Garland, TX on Sunday, January 10.  The benefit will take place at the Patty Granville Performing Arts Center in Garland from 2:30 – 4:30 p.m. Donations will be taken at the door and will aid the Salvation Army’s relief efforts.

Tornadoes tore through northeast Texas the day after Christmas and
destroyed entire neighborhoods south of Garland which is 20 miles northeast of Dallas.

“When I was asked to do the benefit concert, there honestly was
no way I could say no.  I grew up in Garland and Rowlett, TX and so
many of the childhood homes and the neighborhoods that I used to
play in were totally destroyed and whenever you hear about a 
natural disaster it really touches you but it hits you even harder
whenever it hits your hometown,” SaraBeth said.
