 Singer/songwriters Sasha McVeigh and Sonia Leigh will embark on a co-headlining tour across the UK and Ireland with select dates in Europe beginning April 8th.
A BMI Award winning songwriter, Sonia co-wrote two #1 songs for Zac Brown Band ("Goodbye In Her Eyes" and "Sweet Annie"). As the album’s first single, “Upside Down,” takes over the Canadian airwaves on February 9, fans will instantly know that the wait has been worth it. A few months later, Sweeney once again took to social media to help find the owners of an Iraq war Army veteran’s ring that one of her family members found in Natchez, Mississippi. Sweeney was successful in finding the ring’s owner, explaining that she was ecstatic to hear from the veteran’s fiancé. She told Fox News, “[The veteran] messaged me and he was like, 'You don't even understand. In two days, it's the 10 year anniversary of my ship date to Iraq.' And the day they got the ring in the mail, was his exact ship date," said Sweeney. "I'm not all earthy and stuff, but you really truly can't write that stuff." Sweeney, who is married to an Austin City police officer, is a large supporter of law enforcement and the troops and says she strives to do whatever she can to provide support for those who fight for our country.
