NASHVILLE, Tenn. (February 15, 2017 Press Release) – Shane Owens’ latest single release, “All The Beer In Alabama,” leaves little doubt why he was recently named by Rolling Stone Country as one of the “10 New Country Artists You Need to Know.” With this new release Owens continues to prove his vocal ability to rightfully rub shoulders with the legends. “All The Beer In Alabama” is the third single release from his highly acclaimed “Where I’m Comin’ From” CD and is gaining instant connectivity with both radio and listeners. The CD is available for purchase at select retailers across the nation and online at iTunes,Amazon and ShaneOwensCountry.com. Written by Owens, Dan Murph and Phillip Douglas, “All The Beer In Alabama” offers an alternative to the party songs that proliferate in modern country today. It acknowledges the pleasures of “drinkin' with the boys” and “shootin' that 8-ball” but affirms that loyalty, integrity and faithfulness for the one he loves are his greatest priorities. Ned Roberts to Release 'Outside My Mind' on March 24th; Premieres Video for "Lights on the River"2/16/2017 Watch "Lights on The River" HERE (Press Release) NED ROBERTS is a hotly-tipped, London-based musician, who has drawn comparisons with the likes of Tim Hardin, Nick Drake and Leonard Cohen. With a timeless quality to his sound, a poetic turn of phrase, excellent musicianship and a perfectly judged vocal sensibility, his songs sit comfortably amongst the classics of the Laurel Canyon era. Lights On The River is the first single to be released from his new album, which was recorded in LA and produced by Luther Russell (Sarabeth Tucek, Richmond Fontaine, Noah & The Whale) who discovered Ned some years ago and has championed his music ever since. The highly anticipated new album Outside My Mind is due for release on March 24th on Aveline Records. Outside My Mind felt a long time coming for Ned, with songs written over a period of three or four years. Largely an album of love-songs, both hopeful, devastated, and all things in between, the album was in a sense cathartic to record, a way to explore a moment and also to move beyond it. Stream "Lil Dead Eye-d" HERE "I wrote this song a couple days after landing in Los Angeles for the final sessions for Lemon Cotton Candy Sunset. I wasn't feeling very good mentally and was missing someone. Once the song was finished, it felt like I could put the guitar away for awhile 'cuz the album didn't need any more songs," said Edwards about the song. "I reckon I said the last thing I needed to express for this record." Edwards recently penned a feature for the website The Talkhouse about his battle with a rare stomach condition, divorce, and forthcoming album. Watch a moving trailer for the album via YouTube. Stream Moonsville Collective's "Rumblin And Tumblin" via Soundcloud FEB. 15, 2016 (Press Release) -- Indie-folk/Americana outfit Moonsville Collective has announced the release of their new EP, Moonsville, Vol. 2, out April 21. This is the second down home installment in the group's ongoing four-EP series, which will ultimately scatter 20 new songs throughout 2017. Moonsville Collective—named after a home in the sky—is a band that writes songs trimmed from the fat of the American experience. During a time of high saturation and modern pace, the band draws from a slower and simpler time with the belief that good songs can still speak, move and save. As young ramblers from the suburbs of Los Angeles, they began their musical formation by taking refuge in Central California and sitting in on jug band and old-time music circles where an infectious and pure spirit of music for music’s sake lived. Injecting that same spirit into their own community became their quest. Moonsville started as a collective, a group for musicians to come and go while fine-tuning their chops. They cheerfully—and often drunkenly—sang their voices hoarse at homegrown hootenannies and local bars that had never heard covers of "C.C. Rider" and "Goodnight Irene." Eventually, they chiseled their own sound, setting out to explain and narrate their lives and their California while curbing their reliance on old-time tunes. They've since recorded two albums of original music, toured the country, and played countless shows sharing the stage with The White Buffalo, Willie Watson, and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, among others. Moonsville Collective pairs their LA reality of flickering neon signs and mariachi dive bars with their out-of town travels, forming a landscape where their songs can grow, emoting a heart of contentment for what’s been given and a desire for what lies beyond. Spicer is also set to exclusively premiere the music video for “Fill Me Up” from Wow and Flutter on February 14 via TheBluegrassSituation.com, in advance of the Folk Alliance festival. The video was filmed in the very woods she explored as a child in rural Pennsylvania and features scenes of Spicer re-discovering those woods while playing the song. Spicer will perform songs from the new release during her Thursday evening Official Showcase at the prestigious Folk Alliance festival, which takes place in Kansas City, MO on February 15 -18, 2017. Wow and Flutter is Spicer’s most compelling work to date. The songs map her musical DNA in landscapes of languid farmlands, gritty alleys and red dirt noir. Her lyrics reflect the various places she calls home; Pennsylvania where she was raised, and Los Angeles and Austin where she currently splits her time. She visits her father’s hometown of Harlan Kentucky on the track “Harlan” as well. |
