NEW YORK, New York — Spirit Family Reunion has been on the road in support of their sophomore album Hands Together, released this past April 14th. The 12-song set was mixed by Paul Q. Kolderie (Radiohead, Pixies, Uncle Tupelo) and produced by the band in Coney Island, N.Y. Hands Together followed up the New York band’s critically acclaimed 2012 debut No Separation, a grassroots self-release that resulted in over 10,000 albums sold side-of-stage. Also issued on the band’s own label, Hands Together was released for the first time worldwide (through InGrooves Fontana in the U.S.)

After more than 250 live shows in support of their debut, Spirit Family Reunion have become a live favorite, stunning audiences at the Newport Folk Festival, Stagecoach, and Hardly Strictly Bluegrass among other festivals, and touring with Levon Helm, Alabama Shakes, the Tedeschi-Trucks Band, Dr. Dog, Felice Brothers, Blitzen Trapper, Trampled by Turtles, and Hurray for the Riff Raff. Their spirited live show has received critical acclaim, with the SF Weekly naming them one of the best performances at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, noting, “The charge in the air was celebratory. We had been baptized." On seeing the band live for the first time, Detroit’s Metro Times wrote, “It was like when (Jon) Landau discovered Springsteen. When Aretha discovered Ray Charles.” NPR Music’s Bob Boilen stated that the band were his favorite find at the 2012 Newport Folk Festival. 

(NASHVILLE, TN)  -- Stoney Creek Records act Parmalee will perform its latest hit “Already Callin’ You Mine” on NBC’s TODAY show this Tuesday (9/8). Parmalee will join hosts Al Roker, Natalie Morales, Tamron Hall and Willie Geist in the 9 o’clock hour for an interview and performance of the band’s third consecutive hit from its debut album, FEELS LIKE CAROLINA.  The performance will mark the chart-topping group’s debut appearance on NBC’s TODAY show.

Even as American audiences warm to a new face on the country music scene, established Canadian superstar Gord Bamford continues to dominate in his native land. The reigning Male Artist of the Year also leads 2015 Canadian Country Music Association Awards nods. The show airs September 13 on CBC-TV and will be re-broadcast on CMT Canada.
 
Bamford is nominated for the Fans' Choice; Male Artist of the Year; Single, Songwriter and Video of the Year ("Where A Farm Used To Be"); and Producer of the Year ("The Boom Chucka Boys Ramble"). In fact, Bamford and his organization have 13 nominations across the CCMA's 34 categories. Voting for Fans' Choice is open now.

Meanwhile, Gord continues his rapid rise in the U.S., with debut single "When Your Lips Are So Close" now available at all digital music outlets. The song's radio campaign is now underway in the States, aiming at duplicating its north-of-the-border success as a gold-certified No. 1 hit.
 
As the single generates airplay, Bamford's U.S. launch includes opening for Reba in Bangor, Maine last week and for Josh Turner in Great Falls, MT on September 2.  National outlets are also taking notice, with Country Weekly recently proclaiming "the timing for Gord is about right" to make his run at American audiences.

The one-day celebration of roots-inspired music will feature the legendary Loretta Lynn, Americana stalwart Steve Earle, revered acoustic duo Gillian Welch and special guests Tift Merritt, Eric Heywood, Nikki Lane, Valerie June, Emmy Rose Russell and more. On October 9, Muscle Shoals legend Donnie Fritts will release a new album, Oh My Goodness through the Florence, Alabama-based Single Lock Records (Steelism, St. Paul & The Broken Bones, Dylan LeBlanc). The album is the first to be produced by John Paul White, formerly of the Grammy-wining duo The Civil Wars, along with Ben Tanner of the Alabama Shakes. Oh My Goodness features an all-star cast of contributors including Brittany Howard of The Alabama Shakes, Jason Isbell, John Prine, Amanda Shires, The Secret Sisters, Spooner Oldham and many more. 
 
Today, Southern Living premiered the "Tuscaloosa 1962," the second song to be released from the forthcoming album. The song features Jason Isbell on guitar on the legendary John Prine on background vocals. 

Ann Powers of NPR Music premiered "Errol Flynn" and said "Fritts has only recorded a few solo albums - his syrupy drawl and esoteric pleasure - but those who love him know that few can frame a tale the way he can."

On September 15th, Donnie Fritts will take part in the annual Americana Music Festival in Nashville, TN where he will perform songs from Oh My Goodness with John Paul White at City Winery, Nashville.
 
The following day, on September 16th, 1504 pictures and Single Lock Records will premiere Undeniably Donnie, the long-awaited documentary about the life and music of Donnie Fritts. The premiere will take place at the Filming Station in Nashville, TN and will feature a Q&A and performance from Donnie Fritts and John Paul White.

Nashville, TENN. A fan-favorite for two consecutive seasons, Dibbles will once again provide his hilarious, yet surprisingly accurate and informative commentary, aka “Dibbleisms,” to the week’s most anticipated games ahead via his very own “Dip Em and Pick Em” segment. Inside College Football premieres TONIGHT from 7pm – 9pm EST and will air from 9pm-11pm EST for the remainder of the season.
