The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette calls Rucker's live show "a killer set," and The Morning Call hails him as "the best male performer in country music right now." "As an entertainer, there's nothing like seeing the fans react to your music. I've been blessed to have country radio take six of our songs to No. 1, so we thought it was the perfect time to take the True Believers Tour on the road," shares Rucker. "It's going to be an awesome show with some great entertainers as both Eli Young Band and David Nail deliver live." Going in a totally different direction from metal heavy "The Outsiders" is the latest snippet he released yesterday. Honestly, "The Outsiders" had me worried about what was to come from Eric, but the video below, the song, the melody, the lyrics reminded me why he is a personal favorite. The song was co-written by Travis Meadows, Eric and Jermey Spillman. The video is only 2minutes long, but has me very excited for Monday November 4th and November 6th which are two dates shown in the video along with numerous titles/phrases/words. Could this record top Chief? If this song is any indication, it is possible. Toby Keith's latest 'Drinks After Work' was released Tuesday. Toby says "I have an artist that will cut my songs ... me," telling Country Aircheck that other writers might wait "five, 10, 20 years" to get a song recorded, however since Toby heads his own label he really doesn't have to wait for anyone. "Whatever I wrote great last year I got an artist that'll come bring it." Toby knows he won't be able to do that forever. "When the artist thing goes away and the music business thing goes away, I'm still a songwriter." When that happens, he says, "I'm gonna be beating down those artists' doors saying, 'Somebody cut this damn thing, c'mon!'" 'Drinks After Work' which contains 10 tracks, nine of which he co-wrote, is available now. |
