Alabama's 'Southern Drawl' Now Available for Pre-Order

Nashville, TN --- July 31, 2015 --- The incomparable, GRAMMY® award winning band ALABAMA gave their fans a chance to listen to their new single “Wasn’t Through Lovin’ You Yet” last night at People.com.  This morning, the band reveals the complete track list for the highly anticipated release, SOUTHERN DRAWL, due in stores onSeptember 18th on BMG.  Fans can pre-order Southern Drawl now on iTunes, Amazon or from the ALABAMA store.

People.com Magazine proclaimed “the iconic country band will release their first album of original material in over 14 years” and calls their new single “an emotional tune that caught (Randy) Owen’s ear right away.”  Lead singer Owen added  "It got my attention the first time I heard it, and I asked to hear it again two and three times and knew it was powerful.  It can be a guy talking to his girlfriend or wife or it can be the three of us talking to our fans. Either way it is a wonderful song and we got to put the magic Alabama harmony on it."

The band was glad to give the fans a first listen of the new single and look forward to sharing more of their new music with their fans soon.  As Owen told People.com "We had a decade break from recording as a band, all three of us felt that we had more to say and more music and songs floating around in our heads to share with the world and our fans."

In addition to the single, stand outs on the album include the beautiful “Come Find Me,” featuring vocals by Alison Krauss, and “American Farmer” a tune that USA Today claims “follows in the tradition of blue-collar anthems ‘Forty Hour Week (For A Livin’)’ and ‘Roll On (Eighteen Wheeler).”  Also stellar are rowdy, good-humored “Hillbilly Wins The Lotto Money,” the title track “Southern Drawl,” and the heart-melting “I Wanna Be There.” 

SOUTHERN DRAWL represents a collection of current and fresh sounds from ALABAMA as well as a hefty dose of their signature harmonies, rocking guitars and humor.
