Sitting somewhere on the fence of chart pop and contemplative folk, Jonny Carroll's sound has been cultivated by his eclectic taste in musical extremes and his manic depressive sense of creativity. Hailing from Grand Rapids, MI, Carroll cut his teeth by busking the streets of West Michigan for a living, spending winters playing shows and street performing in England and Scotland. His debut EP "The Willow" was nominated for 4 WYCE Jammie Awards in 2014 and his music has been featured on a number of regional radio stations spanning from Midwest America across the Atlantic, as well as in the award winning short film 'Step One' by Chris Eckenwiler.

Jonny's debut album 'Leaving On The Light' is set to be released on June 17th. He adds "Most of this album was written just after an abandoned wedding engagement, and I found myself wandering the streets of the UK for a couple of winter months trying to make sense of it. The songs are very pop in melody, but folk in narrative." 

Jonny Carroll has just unveiled a lyric video for the title track of his album. As for the meaning behind the song, he explains "Leaving On The Light is about wrestling with fragments of lingering hope for a relationship to somehow heal itself once disbanded, while at the same time trying to become the person you knew you should have been in it." He will embark on a US national tour next month.

Electrifying rock & soul octet St. Paul & The Broken Bones will perform at The Bardavon Opera House on July 21 in support of their highly-anticipated sophomore release Sea Of Noise, which is out on September 9 via RECORDS. Originally released in 2012 and out of print until now, Sun to Sun - the duo's stunning debut - includes 13 ballads, lullabies and dance tunes from the Southern tradition. This 2016 reissue features remastered audio, and as always, gorgeous ballad singing and banjo playing from Elizabeth and impressive vocals, fiddle, banjo and guitar from Anna. The CD also includes a video of "The Lost Gander," a shining example of one of their signature "crankie" performances.

Anna & Elizabeth’s self-titled second album, which features Grammy nominee and legendary folk singer Alice Gerrard, was released in March 2015 on Free Dirt Records. Grammy nominated guitar-slinger, troublemaker, raconteur, producer, and Georgia boy Butch Walker announced today that his 8th studio album Stay Gold will be released on August 26 via Dangerbird Records. The Bluegrass Situation premiered the music video for Andrew Leahey & the Homestead's "Little in Love" this morning, shining a light on the kickoff track and lead single from the rock & roll band's upcoming release, 'Skyline in Central Time.' The record will be released August 5th, in conjunction with Thirty Tigers.

Shot in a miniature toy shop in south Nashville, the "Little in Love" video serves as a high-spirited introduction to an emotional album that was written on either side of Andrew's life-saving brain operation. While stacked vocal harmonies, B3 organ and Les Paul guitars ring in the background, the clip follows Andrew as he pursues one of the shop's employees, hoping to win her affection. Along the way, some of the toy shop's pint-sized figurines spring to life. The result is equal parts heartwarming and comedic, all set to a sound that Rolling Stone describes as "heartland rock & roll." 

Produced by Wilco's co-founder, Ken Coomer, 'Skyline in Central Time' rounds up 11 original songs, with Andrew pulling triple-duty as singer, songwriter, and lead guitarist. The album doubles as the band's national debut, arriving after a half-decade's worth of cross-country touring and independent releases.
