Nashville, TN (June 13, 2018)-Over the course of three album releases, pure country music artist Josh Ward has proven himself to be a radio magnet. To have come this far seems so surreal and I am a very grateful man. I am also so grateful to my fans, the very people I make this music for. If it wasn’t for them we wouldn’t have places to play or milestones like this to celebrate. –Josh Ward Josh Ward’s fourth full length album “More Than I Deserve” was released on May 4th and has amassed just shy of 300,000 streams in the first few weeks of release. The album debuted at #15 on Billboard's Heatseekers Chart and debuted at #5 on the iTunes country albums chart. Ahead of the EP's arrival next Friday, Bidez released "Don't Let Me Die," a sharp, swaggering pop song about a life lived far too carelessly. "We all feel the effects of overstimulation in our culture. We never want the party to never stop," says Bidez. "The song started off on a personal level with a friend’s battle with drug addiction, but ended up being more about the destructive pattern in our culture. We all push ourselves to our limits, and when we reach that limit, we just borrow from tomorrow. Eventually, we hit a breaking point. It’s a heavy subject. Ironically, this is one of the happier sounding songs I’ve ever recorded." Glide Magazine recently shared the EP's title track, stating "Bidez is able to soar as he shows off his skills as a poignant songwriter and a confident rock and roller." This Friday, June 15th, as a special Father’s Day release, Chuck Auerbach, father of renowned musician and producer Dan Auerbach, will release his debut album, Remember Me, via Easy Eye Sound. A collaborative effort with his son Dan Auerbach, who also produced the record, Remember Me features some of Nashville’s finest musicians, including Kenny Vaughn and Dave Roe. Said Dan Auerbach about working with his father on this project: “After getting so much help over the years from my dad I was happy to lend a hand in the making of this record and return the favor.” The album is available for purchase here as well as at your local indie record store and on Amazon. Street date for CD and Digital is August 17, 2018. By late 1975, Buck’s unequaled success at Capitol Records was finally winding down. His singles were no longer topping the charts, and after the untimely death of bandmate Don Rich the year before, Buck was starting to lose the fire that drove him through an unprecedented run of groundbreaking hits in the ’60s and early ’70s. His contract with Capitol was due to expire at the end of the year, and he and the Buckaroos readied one final album for the label in November 1975. Singer and guitarist for the band, Drew Copeland, co-wrote the song alongside hit songwriter, Neil Carpenter, while watching his brother-in-law suffer with alcohol use disorder. Lead vocalist, Ken Block, has also been in recovery for alcohol and drug addiction for 15 years, which made the song even more significant and more moving for the band. |
