AUSTIN, Texas — On the heels of their “indescribably delicious” (San Antonio Express-News) new album, The Light, released the past June, Uncle Lucius continues their national tour with a series of September shows in the Southern United States and Midwest including stops in Nashville for the Americana Music Festival and Rock Island, Ill. for a Daytrotter session. Uncle Lucius has gathered critical acclaim for taking rock ’n’ roll from its deep roots and pushing it onward, “putting their own honest interpretation on the essential elements of R&B, blues, and country,” says Artshound. “The Austin-based band “plays to its strengths on its fourth album,” notes All Music. “Few do it with the panache and soulfulness of Uncle Lucius,” writes the hometown Austin Chronicle. “At this point, we are more comfortable than ever with the new songs from The Light,” says lead singer Kevin Galloway. “I believe they already sound better than what we played on the album.” In addition to new tour dates, the band has just released a farcical new video for “Don’t Own the Right.” Uncle Lucius’ Jonny “Keys” Grossman describes it as “a tale of redemption in the form of resignation and self-reflection that asks, ‘am I at my best when I acquiesce?’” In a droll tone, he continues, “From the exhumed remains of an abortive South Austin time capsule, hidden-camera footage reveals the secret lives of aristocratic transients living underneath the awning at Uncle Lucius headquarters. It’s a twisted tale, a fable full of bizarre rituals. Authorities confirm that one chicken fisherman, an alcoholic bumblebee, and one feline seductress are being sought for questioning . . . Fresh from the VHS section of the South Austin Salvation Army, we certainly hope you enjoy ‘Don’t Own the Right’!”

Dianna, who is one of Australia’s most distinguished vocal and songwriting talents, is bringing her critically acclaimed Australian voice to radio around the United States. Dianna’s look is fresh and country, but her attitude is hard working. Her ability to breakdown and rebuild a motor engine proves she isn’t afraid to roll up her sleeves and get her hands dirty. As a young adult, Dianna’s first interest in country music came in yodeling. After finishing high school, she worked three jobs, which were in recruitment, a dog food factory and a car parts plant, where she saved enough money to make her first record. Now, with over 400 awards, two multi-award winning albums and two Australian Country Music Golden Guitar Awards under her belt, Dianna is no stranger to success in the Country format in Australia. She has also worked with The Australian Defense Force and deployed three times to perform for troops serving in Afghanistan and Egypt. August 18, 2015 (Toronto, ON) – The Canadian Country Music Association® (CCMA®) announced this morning that Autumn Hill, Paul Brandt, High Valley, Jess Moskaluke and special guest Thomas Rhett will perform on the 2015 CCMA Awards Show. Being broadcast from Halifax, Nova Scotia on Sunday, September 13, the 2015 CCMA Awards Show will air on CBC-TV at 8 p.m. local time (8:30 p.m. NT) with an encore airing on CMT (Canada) at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT, and will feature performances by Tim Hicks, Brett Kissel, Dallas Smith, and Florida Georgia Line, as previously announced. Some songs grab you right away, while others sink in overtime and won’t let you go. Autumn Hill’s music does both. Tareya Green and Mike Robins tell compelling stories of loss and love from two distinct perspectives, and build soaring pop music with a strong Nashville foundation. Multiple Top 10 singles, CCMA and JUNO Award nominations, and sold-out national tours have defined their recent years, all culminating in the release of their sophomore album, Anchor. The band’s 2015 flagship single, “Blame”, reached new heights this summer, earning the coveted Top 5 spot on Canadian country radio – charting higher than any Canadian country group since 2007. Sirius XM Outlaw Country presents Jamey Johnson on Tuesday, September 15th at Irving Plaza in NYC. The singer songwriter made his debut with his album and single, "The Dollar" in 2005. His second album, That Lonesome Song, produced two singles, "In Color" and "High Cost of Living". Johnson has since released two more albums and has co-written singles for George Strait, James Otto and Joe Nichols among others. When: September 15th Where: Irving Plaza Tickets: $33.50 Time: Doors 7pm Watch "In Color" here Album will also be available as a limited-edition gatefold CD, containing an exclusive bonus track, with all 500 copies hand-numbered and signed by founder/leader Eddie Spaghetti, with all proceeds going directly to the Eddie Spaghetti Cancer Fund. LOS ANGELES, Calif. — “It’s really humbling, and it’s great to know that so many people care,” Supersuckers leader Eddie Spaghetti says of the band’s fans, who have stepped up in droves to lend support following the front man’s recent diagnosis of stage-3 throat cancer. The indefatigable singer/bassist/songwriter’s illness — which coincides with release of the Supersuckers’ bracing new album Holdin’ the Bag — has forced the band to cancel a planned European tour and put their touring activities on temporary hold, while Eddie undergoes surgery, radiation treatment and rehab. Meanwhile, the Eddie Spaghetti Cancer Fight Fund has already raised more than $57,000 to help pay for his treatment, thanks to the kindness and generosity of the group’s fans. Holdin’ the Bag is set release on October 16, 2015 on Acetate Records. If Eddie has proven anything over the course of the past quarter-century, it’s that he’s one of rock’s most tenacious survivors. The same can be said of the Supersuckers, who over the past 25 years have released more than 20 albums, while maintaining the sort of punishing touring regimen that’s been known to break lesser combos. In that time, the self-proclaimed “Greatest Rock ’n’ Roll Band in the World” has set an unmatched standard for epic, arena-ready guitar rock and raucous punk-country. Along the way, the Supersuckers have been sustained by a rabid grass-roots fan base, while maintaining a staunchly iconoclastic spirit that’s allowed them to prevail on their own uncompromising terms. Jericho Woods members Jory Hutchens, fiddler, and Paul Priest, bassist, sealed an endorsement deal with NS Design after reconnecting with the company at the Summer NAMM conference in Nashville, TN. Paul will be booming out their “Rural Countricana” hits with the NS CR Radius Bass Guitars while Jory will be burning up the fiery strings of the CR5 Violin. "I've known Paul for close to a decade when he was playing our upright basses," says NS Design Artist Releations Manager Corey Redonnett. "Keeping tabs on him and his career via social media, I was excited to see and hear about his new adventure with Jericho Woods. When he approached me at NAMM, it was like an old high school buddy stopping by. It was a no-brainer getting the RADIUS bass into his hands, I knew he'd love it! Meeting Jory and having him interested in the NS fiddles just made more sense, with the size stages they are performing on, NS electric violins are perfect for him. We at NS are very excited about our partnership AND friendship with the guys in Jericho Woods. Music for the heart, from the heart with HEART! We wish them the utmost success and look forward to hearing and seeing great music from them in the future." Nashville, TN – Country torchbearers Jason Boland & The Stragglers have announced the October 9th release of Squelch, their eighth studio album, on Proud Souls/Thirty Tigers. Squelch features the brand of true, no-frills country music Jason Boland has built a sterling reputation on as one of the genre’s genuine ambassadors. As an honest, intelligent, thought-provoking lyricist, Jason Boland has always pushed the boundaries of what country music could, and should be, while maintaining a high level of artistic integrity. At a time when the need for depth in country music is finally being acknowledged and accepted with the rise of a handful of quality newer artists, we should look to Jason Boland as an artist who has been an unwavering beacon of authenticity for over a decade. Squelch contains 11 new songs, featuring Boland’s soulful baritone, and the impeccable musicianship of The Stragglers – Cody Angel (guitars/pedal steel), Nick Worley (fiddle), Grant Tracy (bass) and Brad Rice (drums). Squelch features an infusion of hard-edged rock via “I Guess It’s Alright”, swinging honky tonk on “Break 19”, driving Americana on “Heartland Bypass” and heartfelt country ballads, such as the beautiful “Do You Love Me Any Less”. Jason Boland & The Stragglers have been selling out major venues throughout the Southeast, Southwest, Colorado and beyond, while going on to sell over 600,000 albums independently. Their reputation has never been confined by geography, as the band has received high praise from a wide range of press, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Garden & Gun,Country Weekly, Blurt, American Songwriter, Billboard and more. Now that the void for smart, substantive country music is finally beginning to be populated, those who have been yearning for it have been heard. However, with Squelch, Jason Boland & The Stragglers remind us that it was out there all along, we just needed to look a little harder. Nashville, TN --- August 14, 2015 --- Three Time GRAMMY® nominee Pat Green released his new album HOME today to rave reviews. The singer songwriter also announced a week-long-string of FREE shows for his fans in his home state of Texas. Rolling Stone claims “Home features a mature, easy-going country sound — one that's rooted and free of cross-genre influence — and lands somewhere between Green's early Texas dancehall days and big radio hits like "Wave on Wave." Green’s latest single “While I Was Away” is a poignant ballad that instantly connects with listeners, pulling at their heartstrings. The accompanying video for the song was premiered exclusively on People.com over Memorial Day weekend and was viewed over 200,000 times in just 24 hours. Rolling Stone calls the single “a lump-in-your-throat emotional rollercoaster dedicated to parents whose careers force them to spend time away from their families.” Other standouts on the album include a duet with Lyle Lovett “Girls From Texas” which spent a whopping seven weeks at #1 on the Texas Radio Chart as well as duets with Sheryl Crow and Delbert McClinton. HOME has already earned high praise for the album from People, Rolling Stone Country, CMT, Billboard, Country Weekly, SIRIUS XM, Roughstock, ZUUS TV, ABC Radio, Premiere, AOL, and AXS among others. While the media nationwide are raving about the record, Green knows some of his longtime fans are closer to HOME. As a thank you for their years of support and loyalty, Green announced a week-long-stand of FREE shows for his fans in the Lone Star State. Though renowned for penning some of outlaw country’s most outrageous songs, authoring bestsellers and running for governor of Texas, his 45-year career includes touring with Dylan’s Rolling Thunder Revue; recording with Clapton, most of the Band and Ringo Starr; appearing on Saturday Night Live and at the Grand Ole Opry; and writing one of Nelson Mandela’s favorite songs. He also became the protagonist of his own crime novels, because even he couldn’t invent a character that could out-kink Kinky Friedman. But what he hasn’t done in 39 years is record a new studio album. Friedman’s The Loneliest Man I Ever Met, releasing October 2 on Avenue A Records/Thirty Tigers, might be one of the longest-awaited follow-ups in recent memory. Not that fans have complained; the continued popularity of tunes such as “Sold American,” “Nashville Casualty and Life” and “Ride ’Em Jewboy” (the Holocaust-referencing song that soothed Mandela in prison) prove Kinky is that rare talent whose work withstands the test of time. Friedman still delivers those songs — interspersed with his inimitable blend of politically incorrect quips, jokes and tales both tall and true — to appreciative audiences around the world. Still, there were more sentiments he needed to express — his own and those of colleagues such as Tom Waits, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Merle Haggard and his pal Willie Nelson, who produced and performs on his own “Bloody Mary Morning.” The album’s opening song, which also features Willie’s sister, Bobbie, on piano and Kevin Smith on standup bass, is rendered as a spare duet, their traded lines punctuated with Nelson’s Spanish guitar-picking. Conveying both immediacy and intimacy, it sets the tone for the other 11 tracks, all produced by Brian Molnar and featuring guitarist Joe Cirotti, with harmonica by Willie’s Family Band mate Mickey Raphael and piano contributions by Little Jewford, Kinky’s sidekick since his first post-Peace Corps job — bandleader of the Texas Jewboys. |
