Lucy Hale Kicks Off Holidays with Performances on Macy's Parade and CMA Country Christmas11/18/2014 Rising country music singer and Pretty Little Liarsactress Lucy Hale will be spending Thanksgiving Day with more than 60 million of her closest friends when she performs her latest single, “Lie A Little Better,” from New York City during the 88th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on November 27 on NBC. The perennial holiday favorite draws 3 million people each year to line the streets for the Thanksgiving Day tradition. Just days after taking part in the Thanksgiving Day Parade, Hale will appear alongside fellow country singers Carrie Underwood, Hunter Hayes, Little Big Town, Jennifer Nettles and many more to perform as part of “CMA Country Christmas,” airing December 1 on ABC. Hale, who made her “CMA Country Christmas” debut in 2013, sings the original song “Mistletoe.” While Hale made her mark early on as an actress, best known for her role on the hit ABC Family drama "Pretty Little Liars," music was always her first love. The Memphis born and bred singer’s debut album, Road Between, featuring “You Sound Good To Me” and “Lie A Little Better,” was released by DMG Nashville on June 3. In 2014 Lucy has earned the distinction of being named one of CMT’s “Next Women Of Country” and was invited to make her debut on the Grand Ole Opry. Warner Bros. Records’ Frankie Ballard returns to the top with “Sunshine & Whiskey” taking the #1 spot on both the Mediabase and Billboard Country Airplay Charts this week. The infectious anthem marks the singer-guitarist’s second consecutive #1 smash and has sold well over 500,000 copies to date. “I’m so grateful to be here at the top again! We’re still celebrating ‘Helluva Life’ and now we're back... I’m feeling VERY blessed! This is what you dream of and work for and I'm so grateful to Country Radio for playing my music and the fans for supporting me,” shares Ballard. Ballard will celebrate with fans nationwide on his first headlining trek – LIGHT ‘EM UP Tour - as part of the exclusive Live Nation Ones To Watch tour with Skype. The run stops in 19-cities through December with upcoming shows in Houston, TX (11/19), New Orleans, LA (11/20), and San Antonio, TX (11/21). Ballard is basking in the success of “Sunshine & Whiskey” after making the move to Nashville in 2009 from Battle Creek, MI, to pursue music. Drawing on his working class values, he performed every chance he could and honed in his guitar and songwriting skills. He steadily built a loyal fan base and took the time to grow as an artist and an individual. All of these experiences culminated in the release of his current album, SUNSHINE & WHISKEY, which delivered his first #1, GOLD-certified smash “Helluva Life,” debuted in the Top 5 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart and was noted as “required listening” by ROLLING STONE. Produced by Marshall Altman (Marc Broussard), the album captures Ballard’s unique blend of blues-infused, country rock and his undeniable guitar prowess on every song. Previously opening for Jake Owen, Rascal Flatts, Kenny Chesney, Taylor Swift and longtime idol Bob Seger, the talented showman will amp it up even further next year on the Florida Georgia Line 2015 ANYTHING GOES Tour. For more information check out FrankieBallard.com. Ballard’s SUNSHINE & WHISKEY is now available on iTunes. Skytome recording artist and Country singer-songwriter Morgan Riley has been touring radio stations, sharing her new songs and charitable involvement. “Morgan Riley is a very talented person and passionate in her career,” said Mike Kelly of Kissin 99.3. “You can tell it as she tells you her story from where she came from to where she is going. She is focused on her dream and her music proves it. If you haven't listened to her album yet what are you waiting for?” Riley has been performing live, on-air renditions of some of her favorite songs off the new album,“Collage,” including “Katie,” “It Wasn’t Me,” “Don’t Ask Me” and of course radio hit “Rowdy Shoutin’ Cowboys.” She’s also opened up about her involvement with Bright Star International, a charity organization that connects celebrities with causes close to their hearts. For Riley, that cause is domestic violence. Feeling the call to take a stand after the recent NFL and Ray Rice domestic violence scandal, Riley is doing all she can to educate the public and raise awareness in hopes of ending domestic violence everywhere. Some of the radio stations that have been visited by the talented and down-to-earth star include Nash 96.5, Kissin 99.3, Dixie Country 106.7, WTHO 101.7 and Hit Kickin’ Country Z 94.5. In her new single, "He Ain't You," country singer Joanna Mosca articulates both the passionate thrill and horrible ache of that all-too-common experience of falling for the bad boy, but the song's got a twist - and it'll boost the ego of every man who's ever won a girl just by being a good guy. Impacting at radio now, "He Ain't You," written by Jim McCormick, Bill McDermott and Houston Davies, appears on Mosca's new EP, Have A Little Mercy. McCormick's credits include hits for country stars Jason Aldean, Brantley Gilbert, Tim McGraw, Trisha Yearwood, Luke Bryan, Trace Adkins and scores of others. Mosca met him through his old college pal, who happens to be her next-door neighbor in New York. Have A Little Mercy, on Dolce Diva Music, was produced by Rich Redmond, Kurt Allison, Tully Kennedy and David Fanning, known collectively as New Voice Entertainment. Those first three, also members of Aldean's band, play on the EP, which reinforces what fans of Mosca's earlier releases have known for some time. This sassy lady may live in New York, but she's got the soul of a country singer - with enough pop shine and rock edge to engage music-lovers of many persuasions. Earlier this year, Digital Journal placed Mosca on its "Top 10 Female Country Singers to Watch in 2014" list, and Examiner.com's Nashville Country Music Examiner columnist named Mosca among the "Top 5 Female Country Newcomers" of 2014. Similar accolades came for Let It All Begin, including recognition on CMA Close Up magazine's 2012 "Who New to Watch" list and a showcase spot at the 2013 CMA Music Festival. Mosca also has opened for LeAnn Rimes, Martin Sexton and other well-known artists. Whether singing her own tunes or giving voice to others' words, Mosca simply loves making music. "It's really about the best song," she says. "If I can relate to the song and think I can sing it and do it justice, that's all I need." joannamosca.com facebook.com/joannamoscamusic twitter.com/joannamosca On March 19-22, 2015, the 19th annual Suwannee Springfest kicks off the spring festival season at The Spirit Of Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, FL. When The Tough Choices began, there were two rules: keep it country, and keep it simple. They have done both, yet still weave pedal steel leads and genuine guitar solos with the cool calm of a "Spaghetti-Western Clint Eastwood." They draw on influences ranging from early Western Swing to rough-edged Truck Driving ballads; Bob Wills all the way to Merle Haggard. Think of them as the perfect gentlemen to bring home for Christmas, if only you could get the stains off their Wranglers and the cheap whiskey off their breath. Having hit the road at the young age of 14, JP Harris has been living the songs he writes for well over a decade. With a guitar always in his hands, he began playing and singing early country standards around sheep-herding camps in the southwest, and later in hobo jungles and on freight trains across the country. Living and working the past ten years as carpenter, logger, apple-picker, banjo-builder, busker, and a slew of other low-paid, dirty-handed trades in rural Vermont, he decided to take to the road once again as the neon and stage lights beckoned relentlessly. With no more than a few months at age twelve of music instruction, JP Harris is truly a self-taught player and songwriter. His songs are simple recollections of the many paths he's trod; heartbroken & heartbreaker, gentleman & lowlife, home-bound working man & listless wanderer. With a rare ear for authenticity, JP pens Honky Tonk ballads to upbeat barroom anthems, maintaining a simplicity and sharp wit found in a road-worn author.
