Belles & Whistles Perform at Local Fire Station in Honor of International Firefighters' Day

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -  In honor of  International Firefighters' Day, the dynamic mother-daughter duo,  Belles & Whistles,  performed  for the firefighters at the  Council Bluffs Fire Station on Thursday, May 4,  preceding their live show at  Ameristar Casino  for the venue's  Country  Thursday.  The local entertainers brought the community together by showing their support for their  first responders  in light of the recent fatal police shooting in the area.

About Belles & Whistles:
Omaha-natives, Kelli  and  Jaymie Jones,  formed  Belles & Whistles  in 2013, but the dynamic duo started playing music together during Kelli's childhood. The mother-daughter act, known for their rich harmonies and meaningful lyrics, are a little bit country and a little bit rock 'n' roll, with Jaymie bringing her roots from the group Mulberry Lane (formerly of Refuge/MCA Records) in the '90s. The group's hit song, "Harmless," placed Top 25 on Billboard's Adult Contemporary  chart. After Mulberry Lane came to an end, Jaymie began to play on her own locally with Kelli soon singing backup. Now, Belles & Whistles have shared the stage with country music mainstays, such as  Lee Brice, Old Dominion, Brett Eldridge, Kenny Rogers, and more and have won the title of  "Best Country" for the Omaha Entertainment & Arts Awards three years running. Their debut EP, Look Up, was recorded at the prestigious  Legends Studio in Nashville and produced by  Dan Frizsell (Lee Brice, American Young). The release for their music video, "Fire,"  is set for  Spring 2017.
