Brooke Annibale Releases First Video, "Alright," From New Album

On October 2, singer/songwriter Brooke Annibale will release her fourth full-length studio album The Simple Fear.  A former Nashville resident now based in her hometown Pittsburgh, Annibale questions apprehension of the unknown future, basic life expectations, and the fear that those expectations might not be met.  Today, she released the first video from the album, a live performance of "Alright" filmed at Pittsburgh's Society for Contemporary Craft, premiering exclusively on Baeble.

"I remember the first time I heard 'Serpents' by Sharon Van Etten," saidBaeble's Don Saas.  "Though I'd heard individual elements of her music in other acts before, I'd never heard it all in one place: the churning, dark folk rock paired with her piercingly beautiful voice and sinuous lyricism and delivery.  And that sort of startling contrast was my experience with hearing Brooke Annibale for the first time."

Recorded at The Smoakstack in Nashville with producer/engineer Justin March(Cold War Kids, Leagues, Kelly Clarkson), The Simple Fear boldly showcases Annibale’s songs in a relevant, experimental, yet timeless exposition.  The album's centerpiece lays in Annibale’s subtle groove and alluring style encased in layers of beautiful strings, guitar, piano, and percussion.  However, it’s her magnetic voice, that smoldering and irresistible delivery, that draws you in.
