(Press Release) Introducing Cale Tyson will be the first release of 2017 on the Knife Tapes label. The full-length LP will contain 2013's High On Lonesome EP on Side A and 2014's Cheater's Wine EP on Side B, both remastered for vinyl. The record will be pressed on 150-gram black vinyl and feature unique screen-printed sleeves. Only 300 copies of this limited edition record will be available starting March 3rd. Today, Rolling Stone Country announced the vinyl release and said the record will "introduce his breed of unpretentious trad-country to listeners eager for more interpreters of the genre – like Margo Price and Sturgill Simpson – who traffic in storytelling, not tailgating." Pre-order the LP HERE. Cale Tyson is a singer and songwriter from Nashville, TN. Born in a small town in Texas, he was raised in Fort Worth, the home of Townes Van Zandt. In the past, Tyson has been listed as one of the "10 New Country Artists You Need To Know" by Rolling Stone as well as one of "The New Outlaws" by Garden And Gun. So far, Tyson has released two EPs in the US to great acclaim, and has recently released his new album Careless Soul in the UK where it has received 4 stars from the Guardian, Rolling Stone, BBC Radio and more. Following a very successful UK tour, Tyson was nominated by the UK Americana Music Association for "International Song of the Year" for "Somebody Save Me", alongside Sturgill Simpson, Lucinda Williams, and Margo Price.

The record reached #13 on the UK Country Charts and held that position for two weeks.
