CMT Music Premieres Sean McConnell’s “Holy Days” June 28th

New Album Sean McConnell Due July 8th

June 27, 2016 - Nashville, TN (Press Release) – CMT Music and CMT.com will world premiere the video for Sean McConnell’s single “Holy Days” tomorrow at 7:00 a.m. ET in advance of his self-titled album release next Friday, July 8th.

Directed by Becky Fluke (Little Big Town, Pistol Annies) the video features live performance footage of McConnell on tour with his band in Lafayette, Louisiana. It also features locals sharing their “holy days.”

McConnell says, “I feel like this video truly captures what it looks like when my band and I are on the road. Everything from intense musical moments to us just acting like a bunch of idiots. It was so fun and natural to drive down and shoot on location in Lafayette, Louisiana. It’s a place that means a lot to me personally and where the band and I have a lot of history and can just be ourselves, put on a concert, have a crawfish boil, have a few drinks, and have fun. My favorite part of this video is all the footage of other people holding up their hands ‘in the shape of a camera’ and showing us their ‘Holy Days’. In the end, this song and video are more than a specific story, they are everyone's story and you can insert yourself in it however you wish. That’s what I love so much about music.”

Sean McConnell is already receiving early praise from critics with Country Fancast calling “Holy Days,” “a well crafted song with very polished production.” Hits Daily Double says the record, "is his most accomplished yet, and reflects both finely honed songcraft and emotional depth.” Music of New Braunfels copies that sentiment and exclaims that it is a, “game changing album that is likely to propel (McConnell) into a new level of mainstream success.”

McConnell will kick off his summer 2016 “Ghost Town” tour with a show at Workplay in Birmingham, AL on July 8th. He will celebrate the release of his album with 13 shows throughout Texas, where he has been embraced by the homegrown “Red Dirt” community of singers & songwriters. Other dates of note include Terminal West in Atlanta, GA on July 9th and 3rd & Lindsley in Nashville, TN on July 10th. McConnell will continue with a west coast tour starting in mid-August. Other dates include Valley Bar in Phoenix, AZ on August 30th and The Soiled Dove Underground in Denver, CO on September 1st.
