A Nashville songwriter (Tim McGraw, Billy Currington, and more) by way of Ontario, Donovan Woods brings his literate tunes to the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn in support of his forthcoming LP, Both Ways on May 8th. A study in contrasts, Both Ways, deals with the push-and-pull we experience in life, especially in relationships. As the lead track, “Good Lover” unfolds with acoustic instruments and Woods’ quietly compelling delivery. In fact, NPR Music has stated, "There are very few writers who can make you laugh and break your heart in the same song" as Woods shows the rare ability to distill complicated situations and emotions into songs that are intriguing and relatable. Come out and hear for yourself. Details below. Where: Knitting Factory (361 Metropolitan Ave, Brooklyn) When: Tuesday, May 8th Time: 8pm Tickets: $12/$15 Watch him perform "Portland, Maine" (which he originally wrote for Tim McGraw) HERE and see him perform with a full band HERE
