Saturday June 25th 8:00pm FREE Hill Country Brooklyn - 345 Adams Street Brooklyn Event Link: http://hillcountry.com/bk/music-calendar/single-event/1202541/eric-ambel-brooklyn/ Eric "Roscoe" Ambel is a veteran singer/guitarist/songwriter/producer who has worked with such artists as Steve Earle, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, and Run-DMC. On April 1st, he released Lakeside his first new solo release in 12 years, which No Depression described as "a magnificent burst of the kind of rock and roll energy we have come to expect. It's honest, badass and loud, with a bluesy, garage bent." Produced by Jimbo Mathus, the album is named after the Lakeside Lounge, the beloved bar and music venue which Ambel co-owned and operated in the East Village from 1996 - 2012. The closing of the venue was featured in The New York Times, WNYC and more. Ambel is also the owner of Cowboy Technical Services, a 24-track analog/digital recording studio in Brooklyn that has played host to the likes of Ryan Adams, Los Lobos, Regina Spektor, Robert Randolph, Steve Wynn and more. The studio's laid-back atmosphere and combination of vintage and modern gear have made it one of New York's most popular recording facilities. Watch the video for "Mr. DJ," which premiered on the Huffington Post, HERE. Come out to the show on June 25th and for more information visit his official website.
