(Press Release) Gunnar & The Grizzly Boys (GGB), an independent country band from Grand Rapids, MI, that had national acclaim with its song Standard American, announced its 2016 “These Are The Good Times” Summer Tour, highlighted by major festivals around the country. To celebrate the tour, GGB is also releasing a new song, These Are The Good Times, on May 20, the opening night of the tour with a performance at St. Andrew’s Hall in Detroit. These Are The Good Times will be on the band’s full length album, Good Rhythm, due out this fall. Highlights on the tour include America’s River Festival June 10 in Dubuque, IA, with Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and Jon Pardi, hometown WBCT’s Birthday Bash June 19 and Country Stampede in Manhattan, KS, June 24, with Tim McGraw. On July 2, GGB will play just before Jake Owen and Jana Kramer at Jam In The Valley outside of Buffalo, NY, Country Thunder in Twin Lakes, WI, July 23, WYCD’s Hoedown July 31 at DTE Energy Pavilion in Clarkston, MI and the Sioux Empire Fair in Sioux Falls, SD with Chris Janson and Locash. Standard American, which was released on the Average Joes Mud Digger 5 compilation, became a SiriusXM Highway Find with 250 plays in the summer of 2014 and has sold 35,000 downloads in the US and Canada to date. Top sales markets include New York, Denver, Milwaukee, Chicago, Los Angeles, Grand Rapids, Detroit and the Sioux Falls, SD/Sioux City, IA region where Midwest Communications KTWB made the song a hit that “still generates requests,” according to PD Tom Gjerdrum.
