Hunter Rea Band to Release New Album, 'Lovin' Ain't Free,' July 7th

(Press Release) After their debut into the Texas Country scene three years ago with the EP Worrying Kind, Hunter Rea Band is back with their first full-length album, Lovin’ Ain’t Free. The new record will be available for purchase July 7th, 2017, and features the songs “Find A Way,” “Memories,” and “Somebody Got It Wrong.”
 
Hunter Rea Band is four college buddies who put the group together while at college - the band name formed by combining vocalist Hunter Glaske and drummer Adam Rea’s names. While living together over the last few years, the band has been writing songs and honing their unique sound of bluesy, alternative-influenced country.
 
Lovin’ Ain’t Free was recorded at The Zone studio in Dripping Springs, TX. Working with producer Pat Manske was an experience that challenged their songwriting and recording skills.

​“Our good friend Pat is the man. We feel lucky to have worked with him over the years. He knows how to push each of us out of our comfort zone, and makes sure we are always putting our best foot forward throughout the recording process,” said drummer Adam Rea.
 
The band admits they got a bit addicted to being in the studio.
 
“The recording process became something that all of us couldn’t get enough of,” continued Rea. “Seeing your ideas come to life is an awesome experience. It’s a lot of fun having to step out of your day-to-day and into the studio.”
 
The new single “Find A Way” is an upbeat track about looking back on an old relationship after growing up and growing apart.
 
“It’s about seeing if it’s worth another try,” said Rea about the song. “If it’s what they want, then you’re willing to find a way. But if it’s wrong, then you’re willing to walk away for good.”
 
With the new album on the horizon, the band is just excited to get their music out in the world.
 
“We ended up writing a lot more songs during the long recording process that we can’t wait to put out,” Rea said. “This album shows the growth three years can make since releasing our EP."
