Sean McConnell's New Album Available Now

Nashville, Tenn. (July 8, 2015 Press Release) – Nashville singer-songwriter, Sean McConnell – whose songs have been recorded by music greats Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, Christina Aguilera, Buddy Miller, Rascal Flatts, Marc Broussard, Plain White T’s, Wade Bowen, the Brothers Osborne, Meat Loaf, Martina McBride, the Eli Young Band, David Nail and others, and featured on the smash hit television show Nashville – has released his eponymous Rounder Records debut album. The record debuted at #1 on the iTunes Singer/Songwriter chart today.

In a feature for Nashville Lifestyles Magazine's July issue McConnell says, “I stand behind every record I've ever made because they all represent a Polaroid of where I am at a certain time. This one feels like me at this point in my life, and I think people will hear that and connect with it.”

AllMusic also premiered the album stream this week stating, “After several self-released albums and an extensive career writing for others, including Tim McGraw, Christina Aguilera, Meat Loaf and Plain White T's, singer/songwriter Sean McConnell is ready to break out on his own. His self-titled album for Rounder Records carries the diversity of his résumé, blending traditional singer/songwriter elements with folk, country, Americana and rock styles.” CMT Music and CMT.com also premiered the official video for his single “Holy Days.” 

McConnell travels the states performing his own style of music that he describes as “lyric driven Americana soul music.” Music of New Braunfels explains, “Sean is one of the best performing songwriters of present day, but he fits comfortably into genres such as Americana, Roots, Folk, Country, Pop, Rock, Blues or even Christian & Gospel at times. Some of those would be pretty loose affiliations, but fans of any of these are likely future Sean McConnell fans.”

His summer 2016 tour dates kick off tonight at Workplay in Birmingham, AL. He will celebrate the release of his album with 13 shows throughout Texas, where he has been embraced by the homegrown “Red Dirt” community of singers & songwriters. Other dates of note include Terminal West in Atlanta, GA on July 9th and 3rd & Lindsley in Nashville, TN on July 10th. McConnell will continue with a west coast tour starting in mid-August. Other dates include Valley Bar in Phoenix, AZ on August 30th and The Soiled Dove Underground in Denver, CO on September 1st.
