Leslie Cours Mather's New Video Is 100-Proof; "That Was The Whiskey" Premieres Today

Nashville, TN (April 22, 2016 Press Release) - Country Rebel hosts today's world premiere of Country newcomer Leslie Cours Mather's high-octane new video, "That Was The Whiskey."  Their Facebook page boasts over two MILLION fans, and plays perfectly to Mather's broad demographic appeal. 
 
The clip, shot at Los Angeles' UFO Poodle Parlor and Cherry Soda Studios, was produced and co-directed by Laurie Leinonen ("Irreplaceable," "The Family Project," "The Ride") and co-directed by Stokes Nielson (Nash TV & Nash TV Films).  Full-band performance footage shows Mather at her dynamic best; quick cutaway shots, dramatic backlights and an industrial vibe spike the drama.  More intimate scenes show Leslie alone on the "morning after," regretting her whiskey-fueled excess.  Mather, who loves exploring different characters via the songs she sings, reflects, "We've all done things we regret in life and I wanted to present this girl's indiscretions in a relatable way." 
 
The single, written by Nini Camps, Kristen Henderson and Lori McKenna,is moving steadily up the MusicRow CountryBreakout™ Chart, sitting at #66 this week.  The track has already taken the international market by storm, holding the #1 spot on the European Hotdisc Chart for the past two weeks.  Her EP is complete and a release date will be announced in the near future.
