Nashville, TN —- May 26, 2017 (Press Release) —- Rebel Engine artist Lucas Hoge is thanking members of the military for their service in person this Memorial Day weekend. While Americans nationwide head into holiday mode, Lucas Hoge is wrapping up a month-long tour overseas performing for and meeting with members of the armed forces. Hoge spent the first part of the month at Mildenhall in the UK and is currently wrapping a tour that has crisscrossed Southwest Asia making stops in Jakarta, Indonesia; Amman, Jordan; Ferizaj, Kosovo and various undisclosed locations. “The trip back to Mildenhall, UK was amazing and humbling,” said Hoge. “ I love spending time with our military and each time they teach me something - not only life lessons but how incredibly hard their jobs are. They took us in the simulators for the fighter pilots and it's overwhelming to see what they actually do, I have so much respect for these brave men and women. We also spent time with the fire department and helped put out fires during a training mission.” After completing the stop in the UK at Mildenhall, Hoge left for Southwest Asia where he performed in far more intimate settings on The Wrangler National Patriot Tour. This year marks his 8th with the tour which recently tapped Hoge’s song “Medal Of Honor” as the theme song for The Wrangler National Patriot Tour. Hoge was truly looking forward to being in the field in more intimate settings with members of the military. “The Wrangler National Patriot tour is way different in that, in London (for example) we had a stage, lights, great sound system and my entire band. However, this trip with Wrangler in Asia is just Thomas Becker (my guitar player) and I playing acoustic guitars for smaller groups. This tour is all about being one-on-one with our service men and women out in the field. We perform but we also spend time just talking and getting to know them. On this tour our "stage" might just be a tank, and actually in the past it has been. We also have some cowboys and cowgirls with us including Jeff Chadwick from Wrangler and Rob Powers from American 300.”
An avid supporter of our men and women in uniform, Hoge has been all over the world performing for the troops. Since 2010 he’s been to Jordan, Jakarta, Kosovo, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Africa to name only a few. After wrapping the tour this weekend, Hoge will head back to the states to resume touring in support of his new radio single “Dirty South.” Hoge then will return to Nashville just in time to perform an acoustic set at the ASCAP Music City Stage during CMA Music Festival on Sunday, June 11 at 1:20pm. Momentum for his new single is building with rave reviews coming in from the media and new radio markets jumping on each week. Hoge’s last single “Boom Boom” made it’s debut on CMT where it spent seven weeks at #1 on the CMT Music 12-Pack Countdown.
