Nominees Announced for Ameripolitan Awards 2016

The Ameripolitan Music Awards will be back for a third year in 2016, 
with the ceremony taking place February 16th at the Paramount Theatre in Austin. Ray Benson will serve as the evening's host.

The Awards honor male, female and group winners in categories for Western swing, honky-tonk, rockabilly and outlaw music as well as best Ameripolitan venue, festival, DJ and musician. A new aspect of the Awards is a brand-new app, available for both iPhone and Android, that allows fans to vote in each category giving users the opportunity to watch and listen to 30-second clips from the nominees.

Voting with the app begins today, while online voting begins November 26th and concludes December 26th. 25% of the proceeds (from purchase of the app) go to Fender Music Foundation, which aims to keep music education alive and available in our nation’s schools and communities.
