Minneapolis, MN. January, 2017 (Press Release) – Devon Worley, 18 year old Minnesota native and popular country music entertainer, announces the release of The Devon Worley Band’s second full-length album, The Sunrise Resistance. The album, produced by multi-platinum, Grammy nominated producer, Matt McClure (Lee Brice, Kelly Pickler) will drop on January 28th, when the band hosts a special concert at Le Musique Room, located inside the in St. Michael Cinema. The Sunrise Resistance was tracked by the band at the iconic Pachyderm Studio (Nirvana, Soul Asylum) in Canon Falls, MN. Additional overdubs, mixing and mastering were performed at The Roost, McClure’s Nashville, TN studio. Written and performed entirely by Worley and her band, the album is full of the unexpected. Worley describes the band’s signature sound as, “If Led Zeppelin and Willie Nelson had a baby and that baby’s best friend was Eric Church (laughs.) Some say It’s like we’re creating a whole new genre”, she added. McClure commented on the uniqueness of the project, “With this project, I really had to think outside the box because Devon and her band are doing something much different than what I typically produce. It took me out of my comfort zone and that was a good thing. In the end, I think we did something great. It’s truly a fantastic album.” While every other teenage girl was hanging out at the mall and snapchatting their boyfriends, Worley’s teenage years have been spent traveling across the heartland with her band. Playing just about every bar, fair and festival in the grain belt created a unique perspective for her to share. Her songwriting is fueled by the real life experiences of growing up in the music business. From winning a Disney sponsored talent contest at age 7, to forming a part-time cover band at 12 years old, to driving a major touring act onto the national stage by 18.
