AUSTIN (November 29, 2018) — Parker McCollum and lifelong friend, Koe Wetzel, usher in the holidays with their seven-date “Naughty or Nice” tour starting December 3 in Stephenville, Texas. The intimate, acoustic shows will feature Parker and Koe on barstools singing holiday classics — and a selection of brand new songs —offering what fans say feels like a “living room session.” "As much fun as we have on the ‘Naughty or Nice’ tour, and as wild and crazy as it gets at the shows, I really look forward to seeing the fans’ reactions to my new songs,” says Parker. “They’ve never heard them before, and because the shows are acoustic, it is the test of all tests.” Parker spent last week opening for the Randy Rogers Band in Boston, D.C. and New York City, and in all three markets, audiences sang along to his songs. “To hear people on the East Coast sing ‘Hell of a Year’ just blew me away. I wrote that song during a pretty crushing time. Knowing other people were relating to that song — well, there’s no way to describe how humbling that was. It reinforced that I’m doing just what I need to be doing ... making the world a smaller place through music.”
At 6’3” with chiseled features and a musical style drawing comparisons to Townes Van Zandt with a 70s-era Jackson Browne confidence, Parker is an artist on the ascent. In January, Rolling Stone Country named Parker — booked exclusively by WME — one of its “New Country Artists You Need To Know” saying he is a “no-holds-barred, confessional singer-songwriter,” and comparing his songwriting to that of John Mayer and Jason Isbell. “I met Parker a few years back at a show he played with my band,” says Randy Rogers —recording artist, songwriter and founder/CEO of Big Blind Management. “I tracked him down after the show and started asking questions. I knew immediately that he would be a great fit at our management company. His drive alone is what sealed the deal for me. He knows where he wants to go.” “Parker is the real deal. Fans are reacting to his authentic lyrics that meet them where they are in their lives,” says Ben Vaughn, President of publishing powerhouse Warner/Chappell Nashville, who signed Parker to a publishing deal earlier this year. With his sophomore album Probably Wrong (November, 2017) anchoring his 2018 run of sold-out concerts, this 26-year-old entrepreneurially minded artist is currently working on new material slated to bow in 2019. “Naughty or Nice” tickets are available at ParkerMcCollum.com 12/3 Mon.
